how about the next mumsnet meet up be saturday 26th july.
so as per other brighton thread :

SATURDAY 26TH JULY ANYONE???
i dont go out of my way, and so as to not make this a task of arduous proportions, check your diaries, and make your suggestions.

i dont want to walk into a restaurant having booked early for 10 people to be completely embarrased at only two of us being there i hope you all understand.

i would like to reiterate the dumping of babies and children ( am not really fussed where you dump them) and all you londoners get on a train to brighton

suggestions of a dining venue
am desperate for a curry

Be warned we like to drink lots of wine ( red is preferable)

SO COME BACK WITH PREFERABLE DATE AND VENUE AND YOUR DEFINATE BOOKING.

TA MUCH

Scummy says she's coming too

MABS · 16/07/2003 08:00

yes - Cam you're right about where Preston St is - I shall 'try' to drive down there before the meet up to say exactly where it is!! Preston St is quite long .

Many thanks Custy for booking it all though i just want to add a disclaimer - i haven't personally eaten there so don't all lynch me if it's c**p. BTW I'd say its about 15 min walk from station.

PS I think i said previously, i'll have to leave at 2.45 for a Christening i'm afraid.

Rhubarb · 16/07/2003 22:40

Did someone mention Preston?????

Tortington · 17/07/2003 09:39

custardo, sorry for not replying here before now. we're having a party for ds on saturday - so not making any plans whatsoever for sunday on the assumption we will need recovery time having been overrun with toddlers. really sorry not to be able to make it this time, hope you all have a wonderful day.

ScummyMummy · 27/07/2003 08:53

Sorry, Custy. Am disorganised div and didn't see this on Friday. I'll try ringing you in half an hour or so! Am leaving house at 10ish and that's as far as my plans have got but I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone!

ScummyMummy · 27/07/2003 10:19

Custy babe- can't get through on the number I have so will meet you at the curry house, ok? Looks easy enough from cam's ace directions. Off to catch the train in a sec. Can't wait!

MABS · 27/07/2003 19:37

Hi girls - really enjoyed the curry , so lovely to see you all. Sorry I had to rush off, hope you all had some lovely cocktails down by the sea. See you all soon I hope.

Dannie · 27/07/2003 20:44

Sorry I didn't make it, but I'm struggling a bit with increasing girth plus visiting frail FIL, and I woke up this morning feeling nearly as exhausted as when I went to bed. Hope you all had fun.

Tortington · 28/07/2003 11:26

hope you feel better soon dannie, we all missed you.

thanks for a great time everyone. whens the next one?

OP posts:
ScummyMummy · 28/07/2003 11:52

When my hangover subsides... which may take years! Custy drank me under the table and then some.
Great to see everyone.
We did miss you though, Dannie.

CAM · 28/07/2003 12:39

Thanks for a great day out, it was brilliant to see you all, hope to see you again very soon. I enjoyed seeing you again after so long Mabs, and I enjoyed counting how many bottles of beer Scummy and Custy were consuming in the seafront bar. Special thanks to Custy for organising it.
Who's turn is it to organise the next one now that MABS, CAM and Custy have done one each?

Tortington · 28/07/2003 22:31

i dont mind doing the organising what i think its dannies turn to pick the type of venue she would prefer

so dannie you get first dibs on date and type

but any other suggestions welcome

is the next one due september?

OP posts:
Dannie · 29/07/2003 21:49

Custardo, that's really kind of you, but I'm happy to organise, it'll act as a good incentive to haul my vast bulk over there! Does Brighton have a Thai place that could accomodate a group which includes a gigantically pregnant woman? Or what would people like to eat?

CAM · 29/07/2003 21:56

MMMmmm Thai sounds good, hungry already. By the way for everyone reading this, Dannie is slimmest pregnant woman I have ever seen.

Tortington · 29/07/2003 23:01

i have never eaten thai food so should be a great experience.

hope you are keeping well dannie.

OP posts:
Tortington · 30/07/2003 11:07

danie i dont kow brighton either but found this

www.thailand-uk.com/restaurants.html

cant do link and cant even be bothered to look at the how to do links thread!

this has a link to thai restaurants in east sussex and brighton it then has a link to a map of where to find the restaurant and you can even write a review

turn your speakers up for this one though cos it has some super cheesy music to do your search to
