Er 8? 8.30? Am currently ill. To the extent that I had to ask my old man to get dd's from school. But hopefully OK by Saturday.

Wimbledon village - last pub as you're leaving the village heading towards Putney.

Umm, do you have a street name? My knowledge of wimbers is fairly limited.

OK, I have found it on Google Maps. Is there a bus that goes up the hill from the train station? I plan on wearing silly shoes and it looks like a long-ish walk.

It is a longish walk - the number 93 goes up the hill from Wimbledon town centre.

OK, I'll give it a go! I'll need to cross the road from the station to be going the right way, yes?

Yes - I think the bus stops outside Next/Cargo/Waterstones/WHS to go up the hill.

Critical thing is that you need to go up the hill! If, within two minutes of the bus leaving from the station and you're not going up the hill, you're going the wrong way!
