I have realised it probably makes more sense to create a new thread. Otherwise I look as if I don't know that March has come and gone!

Of the chicken? I think the can conducts heat so makes sure the chicken is cooked on the inside, and the 'chef' pierces the can (carefully) so that the bird is infused with the taste of beer and garlic...... (If that is what you were asking BIWI)

PS I missed the prep bit as was at home, but was told the chicken did look a bit like the one in Withnail and I.......

Thanks for your CAT, BIWI. Have a few drinks on me, and I will try to make the next one. I would like to hear updates on your allotment PP. My courgettes have failed to show, which is a bit unusual for courgettes I believe. But I have strawberries and raspberries .

Our allotment is rocking! We had lots of strawberries (I made jam for the first time ever!) and it looks like there will be loads of raspberries. I made about 10 jars of blackcurrant jam with our currants too - I am heading scarily near the brigade of apronned (is that a word?) women who exhibit at village fairs and get very cross if their produce does not win first prize!!

Oh blimey, jam making! Well done, no wonder you look so healthy and energetic - you must be bustin with vitamins.

Er....have you mixed me up with someone else?! I feel like an ancient old bag - 'and me roots need doing'!
