Anybody fancy meeting up for a coffee/lunch/playtime with/without kids - I have 2 ds - age 3 years and 10 months. I am surprised how nervous I am doing this!

I've got about 1 and 1/2 hours as that's when DH goes to work so small amounts of alcohol only for me unfortunately - do join if you can

leander · 08/05/2003 12:18

I will be there as long as anyone else is there,so hopefully a while but I wouldn't say all day.Is everyone going to bring pics of their kids? Hope so I would love to see them, I am dead nosy when it comes to other peoples children.Looking forward to it, see you all on the 17th.

eyelash · 08/05/2003 18:02

Yes I will bring pics of my two.
I will be at the Life Cafe until 2pm - I have a family party in the afternoon.

Looking forward to seeing everybody.

I'll try to be organised and bring a pic - I'm a pretty poor excuse for a mum - people are always asking for pictures and I never have one!!!

eyelash · 13/05/2003 19:24

I hope those who are able to are still up for the meet on Saturday - 11.30am at the Life cafe on Bold Street Liverpool. Table booked in the name of Vivian. So far Leander, Woozle, AliP, Chatee and I are definites.

Rhubarb, Ninja and mum2toby - and anyone else - can you make it?

Ninja - if you are up to it it would be great to see you but fully understand if you can't.

Mum2toby - I can pick you up in Bootle if you like and we could travel in together. If yes, contact me via support services and we can arrange something.

Rhubarb - liverpool is very romantic this time of year.

Anybody else nervous? Must not forget the pics.

woozle · 17/05/2003 23:11

Had a really good time today. Thanks to Eyelash for organising.

Five mumsnetters in all Eyelash, Leander, Ali P, Chatee and me.

Sure we'll be meeting up again soon - ?late June early July.

ninja · 18/05/2003 11:34

Hope you all had fun - I'll be there next time. I have to confess that yesterday morning i was in bed - dd has the body clock of an aussie (I had been up and had a bath tho'

I was thinking of you all

eyelash · 18/05/2003 12:00

I for one thoroughly enjoyed it. I had been very nervous but was sorry to leave early in the end.

I am def up for another meet. Anytime after the middle of June is fine for me. Maybe Ninja can make it next time. It would also be good to tie it in with a time when Chatee is visiting relatives so she could come along as well.

Speak to you all soon.

ps Eyelash:how did the party go????

chatee · 18/05/2003 17:40

oops got excited

eyelash · 18/05/2003 19:50

Party went really well - although very wet the marquee turned out to be great and the bbq went on with the aid of umbrellas. Only stayed until 9ish but bathed boys there and they slept in the car on the way home so good result all round.

Chatee - Glad to hear you got home safe and sound and you enyoyed shopping trip. I must say I love the fact that all the shops in Liverpool are close together and staff are generally very friendly. Only one of the great many reasons I love Liverpool and would not dream of returning to big smoke!

AliP - best of luck in your final weeks. Once you are on maternity leave and you fancy lunch one day or just two mad children, let me know. Same goes for Leander, Woozle and Chatee if you ever have spare time during the week.

Speak to you all soon!

chatee · 19/05/2003 22:58

woozle · 19/05/2003 23:03

What about end of June/early July?
That would make it every 6 weeks (ish)

chatee · 20/05/2003 08:35

how about the weekend of 5/6 july....

leander · 20/05/2003 08:38

Hi there ,Things at home are "ok",I cant do the 5/6 july ,But can do the weekend after if that is ok.

AliP · 20/05/2003 19:02

Hi guys

i also can't do the 5th July (also can't do the 19th) but would love to meet up again.

mat leave starts in two days and Woozle has just given me the Mumsnet book so can't wait to start it!

Leander let us know if we can do anything to help.

Chatee next time i'm up for the chocolate fondue pud if anyone will join me! (if they still do it, it was very yummy)

Eyelash definately would be up for meeting up - I'm often in your neck of the woods as Mum and in-laws both still live there so name a time & venue ? Smolenski's or Plumley's on College Rd mid week next week?
