SATURDAY THE 16TH OF JULY, in Manchester.

At the moment we are thinking family friendly picnic at Heaton Park and then a girls night out, we haven't got the evening and hotel sorted yet but we will soon! It would be great if you could say if you're planning on coming to the daytime picnic and or the evening things!

It does seem a bit as if it might, not sure a lot of people can be bothered to travel all the way...

I might be up for this with DD.

1st and 3rd weekends of the month are when DP goes out so he won't be with us.

I will have to check train times though.

If I can make it we would be staying over as I don't fancy having to manage DD on a train twice in 1 day.

The central Travelodge is good, it's also by what will probably turn out to be my contigency plan - The Museum of Science and Technology...

Museum of science and industry is free too - you only pay for cark parking if you park in the museum yard its £4. Nice cafe in there too !
And if you look out of the kids discovery bit - you can see Coronation Street !

hi everyone, hope fastasleep is ok. i would love to come to big meet up, as i'm local would probably come to picnic then go home put dd to bed and join for bars later. could do a bit of organizing if that would help anyone...

is this meetup still on? newbarnsleygirl told me about it today. i would be definatly come; i now live in barnsley, but am from manchester! have had many a fantastic night out in la tascas and then the numerous bars! oh those were the days!!

I think the idea is you can do one or the other SL, either come on your own or bring ds and dp.

Is this still on? I live up t'road in Salford so would be able to make it to the picnic at least. There's LOADS of parking at Heaton Park - £1 all day if the machines are on, free if they're not. DH & I love La Tasca too. Mmmmm - meatballs!
