I am going to have to cancel I am afraid!!! Grr -so sorry.

DH and I have been invited out and I feel I should go as I have been doing some heavy duty moaning about never ever doing anything together.

I'll look out for the next one and hope it is soon. Have a lovely time.....

LilRedWG · 01/02/2009 18:22

I'm okay thanks Furball. Both my parents are very ill at the moment though.

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 01/02/2009 19:36

Really sorry Furball, will not be able to make it, we are having major problems with sleep and our youngest, would be mighty pleased to manage supper here, with DH, let alone on a night out.

Never mind, as I keep telling myself, all things pass.

Have any of you heard of the "Millpond" sleep clinic in London, we are thinking of employing them.

TheThoughtPolice · 01/02/2009 19:50

Hi all, NDP here

Can't do this one (money, time and babysitting all conspiring against me) but thanks for the heads up and I WILL come to the next one, I promise !

Washersaurus · 02/02/2009 22:55

Oh sorry you can't make it LilRed!

I think I am still coming - if someone else can offer me a lift up the Road? I would like the fish and chips [please]

BoiledEgg; before you spend a fortune on private sleep clinics - did you know that there is a local NHS sleep clinic? It has taken us months to find them, but we eventually spoke to a lovely lady on the phone today and are booked in to see her next week. We were considering a private clinic though, as 18months of not sleeping thanks to DS2 is killing us (and our marriage)!

You should escape for the evening and we can compare notes

Washersaurus · 02/02/2009 22:57

ahem, I'm not sure where those random [please] brackets came from

rbj949703 · 03/02/2009 00:02

washersaurus,

Where do you need to be picked up from if you're not alreaady sorted.

Oh Sleepycat - I'm glad you chose that one. I really want to see what it's like.

Tillyscoutsmum · 03/02/2009 14:39

Really sorry ladies - I'm going to have to cancel. We're in d&v bug hell here at the moment.

Sorry to mess you around Furball

Littlefish · 03/02/2009 21:38

Anyone fancy meeting me there earlier - say 7.00 - 7.30? I'm coming straight from work so I'll be sitting like Billy-no-mates, nursing a diet coke!

Furball · 03/02/2009 22:11

I'll try and get there the earlist I can then littlefish. We can drool over your future? new pad.

Furball -just wondered (after seeing more snow forecast) what happens if any of us can't get there -will the Swan be OK if lots drop out at short notice do you know?

Its just that we get the snow quite badly up here on the hills! We only managed to get our car off the driveway last night and that took several attempts and then it snowed again last night.

I'm getting a lift with SamsontheCat but it would be unfair to expect her to tackle our road if its bad again.

Furball · 04/02/2009 09:50

no idea norbert - but even if you rang at 7pm to cancel - should be ok with them I'd of thought?

OP posts:
NorbertDentressangle · 04/02/2009 10:06

Yes I would have thought so -its just with the pre-ordering I wondered if it would be a problem.

Fingers crossed for no more snow until Saturday then -I've already had to cancel a meal out with friend and a coffee with another friend due to the weather this week

samsonthecat · 04/02/2009 13:10

I'm still ok to give you a lift Norbert but you'll have to let me know if your road is bad. We have no problem down here but I guess its worse the further up you go.

NorbertDentressangle · 04/02/2009 21:55

Will do Samson -I'll post on here Fri late afternoon and let you know the score(unless you email me your mobile no. and I can text you??)

If it snows again and our road is still bad I can always wander down to the main road which tends to be clear and meet you there maybe?

LunarSea · 05/02/2009 07:57

Hope you all make it. I'm panicing a bit at the moment having seen the amount of snow, and the number of flight cancellations at Birmingham (including the one we're supposed to be catching tomorrow) that we might not actually get away as scheduled. And if they cancel that one, we miss the connecting one in Amsterdam, don't get to the hotel booked at the other end in time/pick up the booked hire car on time, etc. And goodness only know when we'd get another flight given that there will no doubt be loads of other peoople delayed too.

Littlefish · 05/02/2009 08:46

If it's like this, then school will be cancelled again. If so, I don't think it's wise for me to try and get there. It's getting out of the village that's tricky.

Does anyone know if there is more snow forecast for tonight/tomorrow?
