Well, I've now officially been told that I am beign made redundant as of 8 February. So I will be coming along on Friday to celebrate my freedom!

At least you know for sure now prettybird, no more uncertainty.

My dh got made redundant when ds was 4 weeks old. I was very worried at the time but it all worked out fine and he is now in a job that he probably wouldn't have been in if he hadn't been made redundant, so it's not always a bad thing!!

I have a low level tummy bug just now. No d or v, but temp and grumbling tum. Hope it's gone by Saturday!!!

I know it is for the best. I had been wanting to leave anyway - the takeover by the new company olnly added some uncertainty (coudl I be happy there when I'd been unhappy in the old company? )

At least I can now leave with an extra wadge of money (I am to say how much) as well as achieving my objective of escaping!

It's not me you need to persuade - it is my risk averse dh He is having panic attacks about the fact that there will be no income coming in.

If I knew that I was definitely going to get the commission for the big deal I did last July and which is only due to deliver in Feburary, then the drinks would be on me. Unfrotuantely, I don't know when I will find that out. We have only been asking since the beginning of Ocotber, when this whole process started.

But I think I might manage the odd bottle of Prosecco or Cava to celebrate!

Hey all - just to let you know that I won't be able to make it but will hopefully be there for the next one. This pregnancy has become increasingly complicated over the past couple of weeks with IUGR and now raised blood pressure.

Beansmum your dress is fab and as a consequence I have just ordered a new frock so I don't look like a scaffie on Saturday! Have my doubts on the zip actually going up however but we can live in hope!

I have been ill all week and have struggled with the mindees i have. I do wish sometimes i had a "proper" job with time off when you are sick etc. One of the dads this week had man flu and was in bed for 3 days,wish it had been me!!

Hope their dc's don't get my horrible flu thing. Xmas would be miserable with sick children.

I don't think I'm going to make it on Saturday night. For various reasons I haven't been too well, but thought I would still be able to make it along for the meal, but haven't been managing well this week and Dh has been away and have various things on during Saturday and Sunday and can't manage them all.

I will still pay deposit. Mawbroon is it ok if I pop it through your door, but do you think I should go ahead and let cafe rouge know it will be 19 rather than 20 ?
