Just wondered if anyone in Wales fancied the idea of a meetup - I know there was one in Bath last year, and I think there's more of us in Wales now - star & bron of course and I think jac34 and I'm sure there's at least a couple of others.
I haven't got any set ideas of where/when/what, just thought I'd dip my toe in the water and see what the interest is.

Yes May will be good for me - off on hols 6th June
so anytime before then. I will come & join in that wine drinking! Hope it will be a 'full house' this time!

cerys · 10/04/2003 20:45

yes, I think I can make the 17th May too.

Bron, jac34 and emsiewill - I'm always up for a day out in Cardiff!!

ZippyB and Star- really hope you can make the next one.

we are attempting a trip to Newport again tomorrow - maybe we'll be lucky and actually get there this time!

emsiewill · 11/04/2003 10:03

Would you call it lucky to get to Newport?
Only joking!

Thought I'd revive this as dh has just arranged his rota so that he can have the girls on 17th. So is everyone still up for it? I enjoyed Ask last time (yummy food), and they didn't seem to want to move us on, so shall we say Ask again?

OP posts:
cerys · 22/04/2003 08:58

yes, DH is fine to look after our two. ASK was pretty relaxed, wasn't it - I'm happy to go there again. Especially if they're doing that chocolate cheesecake again!

If it's convenient, Bron, it would be good if you could book - not sure how many for, though. Really looking forward to your DLP stories - the excitement's died down in this house recently (still seems like a long time off), but I'm always happy to stoke it up again!

jac34 · 24/04/2003 21:49

I'm still keen, ASK would be good again, even if they did think we're a bit weird, not knowing each other !!!

Dh has just informed me that the 17th is the FA cup final. Not a good day to meet up in Cardiff. I would imagine! Do you want to make it somewhere else, or some other date? What about the Sunday (18th)? Newport is quite nice nowadays (contrary to rumour), or I would be prepared to travel elsewhere. Wah do you all think?

OP posts:
emsiewill · 26/04/2003 00:14

or even WHAT do you all think?

OP posts:
jac34 · 26/04/2003 10:07

The Sunday might be better, as if we went to Newport or Swansea on the 17th, transport (car or rail) would still be awkward, with thousands of people trying to get to Cardiff.
Woulde't mind a day out elsewhere though. If we went to Swansea, we could all go down on the same train !!!
Oh!!!Sorry, just thought of Bron, who will not really feel like going far, I would imagine !!!

cerys · 28/04/2003 11:16

I think I can make the Sunday, but haven't checked with DH.
I had a thought - what about during the week? Is there any chance of us all meeting up then? I work Tuesdays and Wednesdays and alternate Mondays, but could manage any day really. I think it's just that I'd feel less guilty about going off for nearly a whole day when it's not the weekend
It would be nice to meet elsewhere, but I think Bron gets to call the shots at the moment! Perhaps we could think about a Newport or a Swansea lunch in the future? (or even Fishguard... )

jac34 · 28/04/2003 12:30

I'm free Mondays and Fridays, but would have the boys with me, no one to leave them with, sorry !!

The week after I'll be in Disneyland Paris . So I need to see you before that, Bron, to get all the inside info.
Weekends are really best for me, as I work most days during the week. None of the mums on the "Cardiff Nursery" threads seem to have joined us - do we sound that bad?
I think star may have changed her name - are you there star? Can you make it. We haven't heard from Zippyb, either, I have her email address, so I'll contact her direct.

Hi Emsiwill,I'd really love to meet up with you all.I've thought about it and I'm a bit of a worrywort about losing my annonimity.Everyone seems to know everyone in this town and cos my kids are at school here and Dh is well known I wouldn't like the thought of anything I've said to jeapordise their privacy. That's the upshot of it folks but I still do love to chat on here though!Hope you have a great time, thanks for thinking of me

jac34 · 30/04/2003 18:30
