Any sign of it with Ben?

I feel guilty about missing Knickers' party, but I would have felt so much worse if her DD had got it from us.

He seems fine so far, but i've got it into my head he can't not get it now!

How's Dennis doing? It's strange that 3 doctors agreed it was scarlet fever, yet the 4th wouldn't prescribe anything. I really hope it turns out to be nothing. How are you feeling?

I know, i feel terrible letting her down, especially at the last minute. We couldn't risk it though, especially with her being pregnant as well. I only logged on to check what time the party started, it's a good job i did!

I know i've left it a bit late but i'm gonna have to pull out of going bowling next week sorry. I just can't afford it, we need spend for our holiday and i'd rather have a good holiday without thinking about money too much than have a night out iykwim

Hope Ben doesn't catch whatever Dennis has got Hiccy especially when he's just got better.

DS is ok - he looks awful but, apart from being a bit grumpy, is fine in himself. Nasty rash though, the worst I have seen.

But his illness is the least of my worries today. Even Scarlet Fever won't put FIL off

hi all sorry knicker did you get my email? dd as had a do as we call them so good job we didnt come, but reading the thread i am glad we didnt as if dd gets it she may get v ill! and knicker take dd to out of hours gp it sounds like she as it dont risk her getting to ill. so sorry about all the illness hope all got it get well soon

You're right, Trace - it would have been especially bad for your DD to get it. How is she? We shall have to meet up soon - maybe a play centre when the schools go back.

How are all the little ones today? DS's rash is the same - no worse and no better. He slept really well and seems full of beans today.

I dreamt that we all had small pox though and were going to die I blame the wine...

wota i meant dd would maybe have a do as when she is ill with anything it sends into one, i hate all kids getting ill! how are they all this morning? glad ds is full of beans wota its a good sign

Hope all the kiddies are well/getting better. You didn't know it was contagoius. J got chicken pox, the spost appeared on our last day at Center Parcs and we'd been in the pool everyday - we reckoned we could have spread it to hundreds of kids

Knickers, has your DD got poorly? Hope not. Did she have a nice birthday?

Our weekend's been pants Apart from worrying about Ben (touch wood no symptoms yet-but he isn't sleeping on a night, which is usually a bad sign) My gran's really poorly. She's been bad all week, which we thought was down to low blood sugar, but we went to see her on Saturday afternoon, and the way she's acting, it looks like she could actually have had a mild stroke We've had the doctor out, but he's been rubbish, so i'm trying to get her some respite care in a nursing home for a few weeks, to see if it gets her back on her feet. Fingers crossed. I know she can drive me nuts at the best of times, but it's awful seeing her like this, she keeps thinking Ben's a girl, which takes her occasional confusion to a whole new level!

Hi all. Hiccy so sorry to hear about your gran. I really hope she is ok.
I feel so guilty about Dennis being ill and everyone worrying about it being contagious. I might go and hide away for a while

Wot don't be daft, i'm still feeling bad because it could still be something Ben passed onto your DS, even though he seemed all better when we visited. And you can't hide now, i know where you live (how scary did that sound?! )

How's your niece doing Trace? Is she still in hospital?

My gran seems a bit better this afternoon, we're taking her into a residential home tomorrow, just for two weeks. So at least she'll have someone to keep an eye on her 24 hours. It's a really nice one that she's visited a few friends in before, so she's quite looking forward to it. She even mentioned to the lady about going in for a week over Christmas! She thinks it's a flipping holiday home

I'm off to the Well Woman Centre in town - has anyone been there before?
