OK - any ideas about when and where?

I don't mind about the time either, so whatever's easiest for VS and the others.

PortAndLemon · 13/08/2008 22:43

2pm is generally good because it's quietened down from lunchtime, but I could do earlier if that's better for VS.

VictorianSqualor · 14/08/2008 07:59

2pm is fine for me, no hurry to get there then.

2pm works for me too - not fussed what time really (as long as it is not early!) Are we still going to Canteen?

Yes, we are simple creatures of habit... (plus it seems to be generally convenient, not too pricey for London and the food is nice)

SushiMama · 14/08/2008 22:48

Yes that's fine for me too. Thanks Sal! See you all tomorrow.

OMaLittle · 15/08/2008 13:32

Argh, sorry guys, not going to make it, morning outing overran (serious objections to leaving the park) and both DDs fast asleep on return so have been put to bed. I hope you have a lovely time. VS, I'll have to make a special trip to Oxford as am really gutted to have missed you!

SalLikesCoffee · 15/08/2008 18:48

OMaLittle, no problem - and good move anyway, never wake a sleeping baby! . We missed you though!

PAL, is everything ok? Figured you got busy too, but just checking.

SushiMama · 15/08/2008 22:27

Really good to see you guys today. Thanks for letting me join at short notice. It's strange (but nice) to have a group of friends just like that.

Sorry to have missed you OMaLittle. Next time? Hope you has a peaceful afternoon!

PAL, Scampmum, Hope everything's ok.

MommyHasaHeadache · 16/08/2008 09:37

Nice to meet you SushiMama and little Izzy!

Sorry you couldn't make it OMaLittle - but I am sure it was worth missing to have two sleeping angels!

(P.S. OMaLittle is Scampmum - another name change! )

SushiMama · 18/08/2008 00:40

LOL me with name change. Just as well I didn't have to deal with RL name as well!

PortAndLemon · 18/08/2008 00:48

Sorry I missed it. DH decided to take the day off work (without telling me in advance) then ended up working all morning anyway () and did the big puppy-dog eyed thing about missing out on DD all afternoon as well, so I wimped out of going out.

SalLikesCoffee · 18/08/2008 09:28

lol PAL, don't worry about it! We did miss you, but a surprise day off wouldn't be the same with prior warning now, would it?

Buckets · 11/10/2008 21:52

Hiya
Can I ask how the venue was with babies? I'm in the Aug08 group and we're planning a London meet-up in the new year so any tips/warnings would be much appreciated, thanks.

SalLikesCoffee · 18/10/2008 19:09

Hi Buckets - I'll ask the others to reply too (I doubt anyone regularly check here unless we're planning a meetup). I'm not sure if it would be too cold outside in winter (they do have heaters outside though), but we sat at an outside table each time and it was nice as you could get up with the babies easily enough. I'm off to post on the postnatal thread, hope it helps.

LadyBee · 18/10/2008 20:16

I think Canteen is pretty accommodating of babies really, but if it is a dodgy day and people don't want to be outside, there is very little room for buggies, so it might be better to encourage sling usage if the weather looks bad.
The only other problem I've found with Canteen is that inside if you are on a table with bench seating it's not that easy to breast-feed as there's not much room to maneuver.
