Would love to have come but am working today and dd at nursery. Will have to pay more attention to the MeetUp threads next time so I can plan ahead. Also don't drive but Truro not so far on the train I guess! hope you all have a fun - don't spend too much in Monsoon! Dd and I don't go there together now - sticky fingers don't seem to be appreciated!

bee3 · 20/01/2005 19:53

Great to meet you oooggs, wobblystarryknicks and Laura....and your beautiful boys (hopefully we'll meet wsk's dd some other time). We must do it again

Oooggs - let us know if a venue search turns up anything interesting, and I'll have a look too.

wobblystarryknicks · 20/01/2005 20:30

Really good to meet you all, sorry I was baby-less but will definitely bring her next time. All of your boys were absolutely gorgeous!!!

wobblystarryknicks · 20/01/2005 20:42

btw nikkichik - would like to see you next time, where do you live? We didn't go into Monsoon in the end, was just as well as it had a big sale on - argh!!!

How did everyone get on in Brewsters, is it worth going to with babies??

Laura032004 · 20/01/2005 22:23

Was great to meet you all My DS is shattered now!

Brewsters was fab - just what we were looking for. We'll have to find somewhere round St Austell way that is similar.

oooggs · 21/01/2005 08:50

Hi there, we really enjoyed yesterday. Nikkichik - we are hoping to do it a bit closer next time. I haven't had time to look yet, but I did pass two play 'things' on the way home. One just before Asda in St Austell call Play Kingdom and one called Bens World by Par Market. I will look into them too as well as soft play pubs.

Catch you all soon

Just flicking through and I have found another Cornwall Mum from Porthleven called Kernowcat Just thought I would let you all know.

OP posts:
Nikkichik · 23/01/2005 20:44

Glad it went well - I'm in Exeter! I don't drive either!!! Will try to make a next time!

Lonelymum · 23/01/2005 20:48

Shouldn't butt in as I am nowhere near Devon or Cornwall, but I'm frequently in Cornwall and know Ben's Playworld like my own front room! Wonderful place. You could stay there all day.

oooggs · 23/01/2005 20:55

Lonelymum - more details please. Prices, activities, what ages, food, anything really?

That is the one I mentioned near Par Market isn't it?

OP posts:
Lonelymum · 23/01/2005 21:01

Yes it is. Not sure of the price except that only children pay (and not the little ones). There is food - usual chips with everything stuff. The activities are better for older children (my oldest were about 4 and 5 when we first went there) and there is tons of stuff - a fantastic rollercoaster, a scary bit (like a ghost train but without the train) a pirates and ships part, arcade machines, etc. They have a website so why I am I waffling on? Go to www.bensplayworld.co.uk HTH

JaysMum · 24/01/2005 12:10

Next time you all meet up make it Exeter way and then I'll be there like a shot.

Jim Jams we must try and get together sometime.

Laura032004 · 08/02/2005 10:51

Just saw mum2mikey's msg about a meet up in Cornwall. Shall we set another date and meet up in St Austell this time? What days would work for you oooggs now you're back at work?

oooggs · 10/02/2005 21:20

Sorry Laura I have just seen this . Been back 2 days now and working Wed, Thur & Fri. Tues is good for me. What does everyone else think??????

OP posts:
Laura032004 · 14/02/2005 11:37

I couldn't really do Tuesdays until April as that is our day for sing and sign (and we've already missed two sessions with colds!).

Would you be able to make any Mondays oooggs?

bee3 · 14/02/2005 12:17

I'd be keen whenever . Wasn't there a softplay pub near to St Austell (Oooggs?), would that be any good?

By the way, how's work going Oooggs?
And how are you doing Wobblyknicks?
And has mum2mikey seen this?
And would anyone else like to come?

So many questions...

beachyhead · 14/02/2005 12:27

I'm coming to Falmouth on Wednesday - can you tell me where the Brewsters was, with the soft play area - Just in case of rain...... I'm there till Sunday for half term and its more than likely we will be out each day exploring, so any pubs with soft play areas welcome... dd is 7 and ds is 3.

bee3 · 14/02/2005 12:45

The Brewsters that we went to is this one , the map showing it is here

I also take ds (12 months) to Flambards in Helston here as they have a great soft play area. We've got a season ticket, so can pop in whenever, but I think a daily ticket is £4.95, so you'd need to spend the day there to make it worth the cost.

By the way, I've just discovered how to do links, so apologise now for showing off...

Laura032004 · 16/02/2005 22:35

Bump

Any of you others out there??

oooggs · 18/02/2005 17:22

I can't do Mondays as I take DH to college then lunch then college, but he breaks up for Easter.

I don't mind if you want to go ahead on a Monday.

Lonleymum suggested this www.bensplayworld.co.uk

OP posts:
Laura032004 · 20/02/2005 22:24

Oooggs - when is DH's Easter break?

I've got the Bens Playworld leaflet, and it looks more for older kids - not sure there'd be much on for our toddlers. I'll give them a ring tomorrow and find out.

There are quite a few mums on netmums.com looking for a meet up at the moment. If we arrange something, shall I post it on there?

wobblyknicks · 20/02/2005 22:29

Hi everyone! Have only just seen this. Mondays should be fine for me. On the ben's playworld site the smugglers cove looks ok for the littlies but looks like it would get horribly cramped if it was at all busy.

wobblyknicks · 20/02/2005 22:34

There's a kids kingdom in St Austell that apparently has 'soft play for tots and toddlers' but it might be a Bens Playworld clone.

wobblyknicks · 03/03/2005 22:15

Are we still going to meet up sometime?
