Hey we should all save up and go to lilliputs DH's place for a fabby Xmas night out overnighter!!

prettybird · 14/03/2008 15:18

Hey NP one can when one looks like a sack of spuds tied in the middle lol.

Haven't been that good on my fiet this week. No bloody willpower atm.
DH is on the same healthy eating plan and he has done really well No beer/wine,no butter or cheese and no flipping snacks.
Will have to do better than him!!!

gomez · 14/03/2008 17:54

Now you fellow dieter don't be letting the side down. I have been a paragon of virtue all week! Will be most distressed if no loss on Monday!

PB you looked bloody great at Xmas - I managed Pat Butcher in Edinburgh and at the London Do' managed to have my left t*t pretty much on display all night so I really have got nowt to worry about, presuming I am actually dressed, April has to be a better effort!

aGalChangedHerName · 14/03/2008 18:04

Shit Gomez have you really been good???

Panic panic!!!

Lilliput · 14/03/2008 18:12

The restaurant was inspected by the AA last night and dh has got a rosette, he's playing down the fact he's pretty chuffed.

nailpolish · 15/03/2008 18:15

prettybird · 17/03/2008 13:18

That's fantastic news Lilliput.

My mum and dad did find out about it from the mailing - I asked last night. They're just off to Oz for two weeks, but when they get back, they're thinking of booking an overnight stay so that they can eat in the restaurant and then do some cycling in the area (they have had a new tandem made which has mum in the front, semi recumbent and dad steering at the back - sounds wierd and I haven't seen it, but at least it has got mum back on a bike after her accident).

Lilliput · 17/03/2008 17:48

That's probably quite a sight I shall look out for them.
Prettybird, I notice from doing a thread search that you have been to disneyland paris. Where did you stay and how did you get there? Did you fly and hire a car or navigate your way across Paris. As you can guess we are thinking of going, probably October.

gomez · 17/03/2008 21:36

Ah well done DH Lilliput!

Until PB comes along and gives some proper answers we went to Disney Paris thingy in between Chrismas & New Year a few years ago. We were there 3 nights I think which was enough. We were staying in the "Pink-Disney-Princess" Hotel which was fairly steeply priced and not that amazing TBH. We caught the bus from CDG which was very easy, dropped of at all the Hotels on the Complex so if you were staying there, no car needed for that aspect of it certainly. Food was pretty dire in the park, lots of pommes frites and not an enormous amount of anything else. Big queues for the toilets (and I was up the duff so not a good situation but not really Walt's fault to be fair ). Food was okay in the Hotel but you needed to book. Merchandise everywhere. Actually I am proably not the best person to advise 'cause I hated every minute of it - possible because I was up the duff and couldn't really do any rides. I have it on good advice you are better doing the real McCoy in the States but I am so not sure if I can face that or not. Anyhoo, not sure that will have helped you at all TBH, sorry!

Right diet chum(s)out of the woodwork and confess all. I managed 2.5lbs so was fairly happy with that, also had a monster cycle yesterday so hoping will see some good coming of that later in the week! Agalch how are you doing? Come on.....out you come.

PB I am just going to ignore you as you are clearly motivated and on a mission to be even more lovely .

prettybird · 17/03/2008 23:13

Gomez - if it makes you feel better, for the last week I have alternated between 10stone 13 and 10stone 11lb - with no rhyme nor reason as to which weight I might be on which day

I haven't been to Disneyland Paris - although I know that Aimsmum has. We tend to transit Paris on the way to or from somewhere and know the cntre really well but so far haven't got out to DLP - although I've had to promise to ds that one day we will go.

aGalChangedHerName · 18/03/2008 07:13

Hey fellow diet chums,i stupidly weighed in on my new scales last week in kg so can't really work out what i have lost.DH lost 3lbs tho. He reckons i only lost a pound.

So poor effort from me. Will be at the gym this week hopefully and might see a decent loss.

nailpolish · 18/03/2008 11:18

ah goat. you are so lovely. have emailed you

Bummer - I am now up to 11 stone

Can see me going back on to Indian Knight and her driend's drastic Atkins-esque diet for the next two weeks!

Lilliput · 20/03/2008 15:31

try no carbs after 5pm prettybird, not as extreme as India Knight. google carb curfew.
