I've got mine thanks Trace

I'd forgot it was pancake day today, i've just set dh on making them

We took ds to Alphabet Zoo today. First time i've been there and i wasn't keen on it so doubt i'll be going again.

fatzak · 05/02/2008 17:02

No I'm not so keen either Phoenix - we've only ever been once too! Arsey staff, fried food smell, doors leading onto the busy road - nah!!

itsahardknocklife · 05/02/2008 17:59

where's Alphabet Zoo?

Phoenix · 05/02/2008 18:29

It's in Thornes Itsa. I don't particularly know what i didn't like i just didn't like it iykwim.

itsahardknocklife · 05/02/2008 18:53

yes I know what you mean. Is it not as good as Cheeky Monkeys?

We went to the Stanley Ferry Wacky Warehouse at the weekend and it was packed - but for the first time ever, the little man went toddling off into the big kids bit, even though it was really noise and busy. I think going to CM has really improved his confidence.

NorwichMummy · 05/02/2008 18:54

There was one like that near us in norfolk Phoenix, really disappointed us, but then you've got to try these things at least if it is to decide not to go back!

Knickers - I used a ring sling all the time when ds was little, (infact I still use it now a bit when hes ill and wants to be carried all the time). Not able to make it Fri but if you want I could give you a ring and try and describe how it works over the phone?

Trace - thanks for email

Looking forward to Thursday!

itsahardknocklife · 05/02/2008 19:16

what's happening Thursday?

HeppyChick · 05/02/2008 19:41

Evening all, we're going to Jelly Beans, meeting at 10.30.

itsahardknocklife · 05/02/2008 19:42

oh cool. What's the address of Jelly Beans? I'll ask the boss if we can go!

itsahardknocklife · 05/02/2008 19:47

oh yeah - does anybody's little people eat the Goodies fruit bars - I have a packet of apple and date and a packet of banana and date. We gave the little guy one of each but he was not impressed! I'll bring them on Friday as it seems a shame to chuck them.

Twigy · 05/02/2008 19:52

Evening all

Big T really likes them Itsa so if you want us to buy LO his favoutite snack then we can swap. Does he still eat rusks?

ItsPotatoesForYouMyLad · 05/02/2008 19:54

jellybeans, springfield mill, norman road, denby dale, hd8 8th

HeppyChick · 05/02/2008 19:58

Thanks for the address. Is there someone to somewhere to give the babies their lunch?

HeppyChick · 05/02/2008 19:59

heppy -what sort of lunch are you thinking? JB themselves sell (rather pricey) lunch boxes / toasties etc. They're bfing friendly. Or there's a cafe down the corridor in the mill with more choice.

Who's going?
who's passing netherton??

HeppyChick · 05/02/2008 20:11

I was just going to take his usual and feed him there, is that allowed? He could probably wait until we get home if it's awkward. Is Netherton close to Flockton? If so I have a sat nav and could pick you up...

HeppyChick · 05/02/2008 20:12

Fatzak is going.

ItsPotatoesForYouMyLad · 05/02/2008 20:17

heppy -how old is he? i think because they sell food they ask people not to bring their own. but i'm sure they can't mind if it's 'baby mush'

HeppyChick · 05/02/2008 20:23

He's 10 months. Do you think that's ok? Although I'm sure the greedy boy could manage a toastie! Do you want a lift?

fatzak · 05/02/2008 20:36

They should be fine Heppychick about you feeding him - I was there with a friend last Friday and she put her DS in a high chair and gave him some fruit and no one batted an eyelid. I really don't think that they are bothered about babies - guess it's just if you get out your own packed lunch that they might get a bit arsey

Talking of baby food, just watching that superskiny supersize programme and they are following some celeb diet where they eat jars of baby food ...yak
