thanks Gingermonkey - I might even stretch to a pack of biscuits! You're a star x

I have seen bigger grobags, but I'd like to get him started with a quilt. Phoenix you're like some sort of computer genius, aren't you?

itsahardknocklife · 03/02/2008 17:37

Just shouted the Ikea price down to Jon and he said 'that's more like it.' He even said we can go tomorrow and put it on the Ikea card - result! I was a bit depressed when we came home empty handed from Mothercare - it's not really in my nature to walk out of a shop with nothing
And little man is at childminders tomorrow so we can walk around Ikea at adult pace yippee

itsahardknocklife · 03/02/2008 17:39

thanks for offering to get them , GM, but we'll go tomorrow. I reckon I can sneak some more things into the trlley. Last time we went we came home with 2 dining room chairs. They were a bargain, though. Tenner each from Bargain Corner, and they were still in their packaging. Must have been an old line or something but I don't care.

trace2 · 03/02/2008 17:41

itsahardknocklife my dh is a jon too

trace2 · 03/02/2008 17:49

jo ive made cola cake! not tasted yet waiting for it to cool

Gingermonkey · 03/02/2008 17:51

no problemo - I'll even iron it for you!!! (watch phoenix ask what an iron is!!!) I just had a look and it's actually really nice, it's silver aeroplane which they don't do anymore in mothercare, and is blue with a stripy reverse. DS just has far too much bedding, so I'll be pleased to get rid of it (and free up a bit of space!). And I won't say no to a biscuit I'll be like a blooming donkey on friday - laden down with my wares, and I won't even have a child with me, ha ha ha!!! (slightly lunatic emoticon for going to play centre without children!)

ha ha ginger, you will be an ass!

itsahardknocklife · 03/02/2008 18:09

thanks Knickers but we'll get one from Ikea - we are after a real sort of duvet, where you put a cover on it, as opposed to a quilt. Does that make sense?

itsahardknocklife · 03/02/2008 18:09

I want cola cake!

Gingermonkey · 03/02/2008 18:14

oooh, cola cake - that's the one phoenix gave me the recipe for and I've never made. I want some!
ha ha ha, hardknock

Hopefully i'll get to another meet up soon.

Phoenix · 03/02/2008 22:07

Ah pots, do you wanna join our yahoo group?

We're using it to post more personal things for meet up purposes like real names, email addresses, mobile nos etc. if you do follow the links further down then either me or trace2 can let you in

Its invite only so no one else except us (this thread) can see what's on there.

Phoenix · 03/02/2008 22:11

This is the link Pots, i didn't realise it was that far down the thread and if you're using the new version of mumsnet then prob another page

Gingermonkey · 04/02/2008 09:28

hi pots. I thought of you the other day, I was in Leapfrogs as the dancing lady was about to start (we weren't there for that though, no chance with babymonkey!). Blooming heck, she looks scary - she bellowed across the room like a fog horn No wonder your DS couldn't stand it!

Hi JA. The show was a bit rubbish, but we went to the arts and design centre in Manchester as well which was great. I ended up coming home at a reasonable time - just in case of the weather, but then vegged out with a chinese as I had no food in the house.
Sounds like Friday was a great night, I'm to have missed it. Who came in the end? We will def have to do something like it again.
