itsahardknocklife · 03/02/2008 16:22

make sense to me thanks for sorting it out, Trace.

itsahardknocklife · 03/02/2008 16:28

can people with older kids offer some advice please? The little man is getting too big for his sleeping bags and now sleeps with a teddy under his head, so I think he is ready for a duvet and pillow.
I went to Mothercare to look. £25 for the duvet and £14 for the pillow!!!!!???? That's more than I paid for ours!
Is there somewhere else where you can buy this sort of stuff at a normal price?
And also he's still in a cot, not a cot bed. Will a duvet be too big?

trace2 · 03/02/2008 16:49

itsahardknocklife get a cot quit from tk max or see if anyone on heres getting rid of one?

itsahardknocklife · 03/02/2008 17:00

oh I like tk maxx - thank you for the idea.

I'll have a think about putting a wanted post on the site.

Gingermonkey · 03/02/2008 17:04

ikea have them quite cheaply, and their bedding is also really good value too. I'm going on tues so I can have a look at prices and let you know, although I am sure they have them on the website.

itsahardknocklife · 03/02/2008 17:08

Now why didn't I think of Ikea? That's where I usually get our bedding from. Oh well it's Sunday so my brain is allowed to be slow! Ginger, if you wouldn't mind having a look at prices, that'd be great, thank you.

Gingermonkey · 03/02/2008 17:27

I've also got a spare set of bedding - cot quilt sized from Mothercare you can have (it's pale blue, possibly with an aeroplane on I think off the top of my head...I'll check). There's a quilt cover and a pillow case. I'll let you know the price after I go tues.

Gingermonkey · 03/02/2008 17:28

I mean the price of the quilt and pillow - not the price of the quilt cover, you can have that for nowt! (well, you can get me a cup of tea )

Phoenix · 03/02/2008 17:29

Def ikea. I was gonna post a reply earlier but i was at trace's house and now i'm home ginger's told you. Ikea

If he's happy in his grobag though you do know that you can get them up to Age 3-6 years if that helps. My ds loves his grobag but i also keep thinking about going to a duvet, in fact we did for a bit but went back to grobag.

Gingermonkey · 03/02/2008 17:31

there you go, clever phoenix! - £15 for a quilt and pillow. Do you want me to get them when I go?
