thought I'd start a new thread for those of us meeting up at Dynamic Earth at 12pm on Thursday 21st February - as the last heading was rather "vague" to say the very least

So far we have got

Cali + 2 children
FAQ + 3 (eeek!) children

Probables/possibles

Motherhurdicure + 3 children
Mawbroon + 1 child
Liath + 2 children
2happy + 2? children

I'd have loved to come along on Friday night, but as we only got back from 8 day's skiing on Sunday () we are astill tryingt catch up with ourselves.

Have a nice time!

nailpolish · 20/02/2008 14:58

oooh get you PB!

mawbroon · 20/02/2008 15:05

Nailpolish - we collected ds's masterpice teapot stand from the ceramic experience yesterday. It makes me smile every time I lift the tea pot and see his artistic splodges on it.

nailpolish · 20/02/2008 15:07

the ceramics look great when they are all shiny dont they mawbroon

nailpolish · 20/02/2008 15:08

i was struggling to find the technical word - could only think of "shiny" !

mawbroon · 20/02/2008 15:09

LOL I think "glazed" is the word you are looking for. Just like lots of MNetters eyes on Friday night after a night on the town.

nailpolish · 20/02/2008 15:16

yes thats the fella

prettybird · 20/02/2008 15:58

I'll not mention we also need to begin planning/getting ready for our holiday to South Africa in April, inclding 2 nights at the same luxury game reserve that we spent 3 nights at on our honeymoon 10 years ago! .......

(We have a very painful credit card bill this month! )

Pmsl that anyone would be scared of us

2happy · 20/02/2008 21:15

Just socially inept constipated awkward.

mawbroon · 20/02/2008 21:18

LOL, I'm not very good at it either. We could sit together and go "so, erm, well" together

Or you could shout "breast v bottle" then run away

2happy · 20/02/2008 21:19

"So....what do we all think about P&T spaces, everyone?"

prettybird · 21/02/2008 09:01

They're all very nice, honest! Not a hairy trucker amongst them.

FAQ. Sorry I can't make it - it would have been nice to meet you - hairy arms and all!

liath · 21/02/2008 10:10

Still planning to be there, I'm short & fair with a dark-haired 3 year old dd and 10 month ds. Will probably have my buggy (purple/mauve). 2happy has had a dreadful night with her ds2 but I think is still hoping to come - she'll be the glazed looking one with 2 boys LOL.

PotPourri · 21/02/2008 15:17

D'oh,. totally got the dates mixed up on this and I have missed it!! d'oh d'oh d'oh!! Next time maybe......

mawbroon · 21/02/2008 18:08

Hi girls. I had a really lovely time today. Sorry you couldn't make it nailpolish but hopefully you will manage out tomorrow night.

After dynamic earth, liath, 2happy and I DID walk round Arthurs Seat. My goodness it was windy, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I am looking forward to tomorrow night too.

FAQ · 21/02/2008 18:34

Yes was lovely to meet some of you - glad you enjoyed your walk round Arthurs Seat - I managed to persaude the DS's that they could "see" the Castle tomorrow before we go back to the musuem - couldn't face walking all the way back up the hill pushing the pushchair into the wind LOL.

I can't wait for tomorrow night

2happy · 21/02/2008 19:13

Got home at 6, boys in bed already! ds1 wanted to go back to the ball pen tomorrow . Even if I could face the trek back to Edinburgh, something tells me ds2 wouldn't appreciate another walk round Arthur's Seat, not unless the wind dies down (and I get him a new hat, lol).
Nice to meet you both, and hope you have a nice night out tomorrow.

FAQ · 21/02/2008 19:16

lucky you - I've just had DS3 throw up an entire bottles worth of curded milk (after having had 2 bottles in the last 45 minutes or so) and DS1 and 2 are currently painting - haven't eaten yet but I'm going ot have to get them to pack away soon so they can eat and go to bed.

Have the flat to myself tonight as DB is out until 10.30/11pm.

Lovely to meet you 2happy and your DS's are gorgeous

I wonder how close we got to being asked to leave with them all running around the cafe
