Reviving Haslemere thread

hello all, thought I'd breathe some life back into the Haslemere thread. What happened, did any of u meet up? I moved to shottermill about 4 mths ago & have a 21/5 yr old ds. I'd love to make some real friends & it'd be gr8 4 my ds to hav friends round to play. I'm also training in massage therapy & looking 4 volunteers 4 free massage. So if any of u can b child free 4 an hour or so let me kno.

Was planning to go to the firework thing but dd was being a bit sickly so we decided not to risk it...! Could hear the fireworks from the house though - sounded good!!!

Hi, I'm in Elstead. Got 2 boys (7 and 1).

Didn't do the Secretts fireworks, but heard about it. My ds1's friend said `it should have been called a night of a thousand CARS - not stars!'

Yeah and they all try and park down our road!!! It's the same for the Thai Festival they do in the summer - traffic and car chaos!

I'm in Witley too. Did anyone go to the Chiddingfold bonfire? Couldn't believe the size of the bonfire!

Didn't go but saw it still smouldering at lunchtime the day after when we went to the Swan for lunch!!

dh said it was still smoldering the followinf Friday

by the way Lou - did I completely ignore you in the Star the otherday? I have a horrible feeling I did but didn't have my brain in that day so can't be sure

handbagaddiction - may well have seen you in Waitrose (seemed to live in there until I discovered Ocado ). Next time I'm there, I shall look very closely at all women carrying handbags!

Bloody hell - can't believe there are so many Mumsnetters withon a 2 mile radius of me! We and 30 of our friends and family took over the Star in Witley late Sunday lunchtime after dd's christening!

ks - don't actually know it? And if you're planning a lunch then I won't be able to come along anyway...unfortunately for me, I work full-time.

where's Undershaws?

yes ali, you did! I tred to catch your eye but thought you were embarrassed to know me!

We drove to have a look at undershaws, but it looked a bit imposing, everyone stopped eating and peered out of the window when we drove up!

tried going to chiddingfold for the bonfire, but couldn't find anywhere to park, unless it was miles out or park and ride, and that isn't really possible with a child in a wheelchair

isn't the young blond barman rather attractive? the one with the piercings.

Too busy trying to fend the MIL off grabbing dd all the time to notice too much on Sunday!!

DH probably goes into the Star more than I do....not sure he's really qualified to comment of the barmans attractiveness!!
