Hi everyone!! I am 27 and my baby boy is due the 1st of September. I live in Coggeshall near Colchester so very near some of you! Would love to meet up. Maybe we could arrange a day?

babygirl05 · 19/07/2006 15:35

Hey babes, u must be having a hard time, been pregnant in this heat, i was pregnant through the summer and it was murder. Have u any names in mind?

eenywifemum · 19/07/2006 15:36

ooh there are so many of us! I can be 'catted' but cant CAT as I havent signed up for the service. But I would be happy to give my email address. Also I am happy to organise a meet up for all of us, if anyone is interested. Would have to be September or October for me though as baby is due soon!

babygirl05 · 19/07/2006 15:38

Hi Pol25, i dont know if youll still be watching this thread as your message was left some time ago. I live in Rainham and i am also new t the area. If you are still about it would be nice to chat.

eenywifemum · 19/07/2006 15:38

Alexander (Alex!) Duane. Duane is after my grandpa. It is a nightmare in this heat! I am not leaving the house at the moment I just cant stand it! What's your DD's name?

babygirl05 · 19/07/2006 15:39

whats catted? i bet i sound real stupid now...lol

babygirl05 · 19/07/2006 15:40

i like Duane thats cute, My girls called Olivia. It was always gonna be olivia or melissa, or a boy would have been jack

eenywifemum · 19/07/2006 15:43

you dont sound stupid! catted - CAT - its where you click on a link at the top of every Mumsnet page and you CAT another user - basically you email them! It only costs £2 I think to set it up but I havent done it yet and dont know if I will. If you havent set it up someone can CAT you but you can not CAT someone else. It takes a while though, I have found. Could be faster to just give an email address but then you have to put it on the board and understandably might not want to do that! Phew!

I do love the name Olivia! How old is she? Sorry if you have said before.

babygirl05 · 19/07/2006 15:47

LOL! She is 9 months now, shes turned into a devil child this weekend..lol

Thalia · 19/07/2006 15:50

Hi. I live in Panfield near Braintree, I'm expecting my first on Xmas Eve. There is a Mums and Toddlers group at the Village Hall in Panfield every Friday 10-12, I haven't been myself but my Mum helped out and I think it's £1. Where are you guys buying your maternity clothes ? Went to Chelmsford last weekend and didn't find much at all, Mothercare was good but a bit pricey unless it was on sale. H&M quite good but I'm still stuck for a good pair of jeans and some shorts.

eenywifemum · 19/07/2006 15:51

ooh I am looking forward to those devil child moments! I just want to not be pregnant any more and get on with being a Mum!

eenywifemum · 19/07/2006 15:52

Hi Thalia - I dont know Panfield but I am near Braintree too. There is a village called Feering nearby where there is a place called The Maternity Exchange - end of line or REALLY nice 2nd hand clothes - a lady runs it out of her house. I got a Next Maternity top there which was practically brand new and only £10. Would highly reccomend it!

babygirl05 · 19/07/2006 15:59

Obviously i have gone through the matenity stages but u took the words out of my mouth, next do some really nice things and i also used to go to topshop, there maternity jeans and trousers are nice fitting

Thalia · 19/07/2006 16:25

Thanks so much eenywifemum and babygirl, that's great. That Maternity Exchange sounds good, I will look that up. Babygirl Next and TopShop in which town do maternity stuff ? Thanks for your help.

babygirl05 · 19/07/2006 16:42

Erm i thought all of them would have a maternity section but i used the romford and lakeside stores. I think they have an online site, i definately know that next do. x

bubblagirl · 19/07/2006 18:07

hi morningmayhem

im also in brentwood i have a 14 mth old son where in brentwood are you?

eenywifemum · 19/07/2006 18:08

no babygirl, loads of them dont carry the maternity ranges!!

Thalia the phone number for the Mat. Exchange is 01376 573 285 - I'm sure the lady wouldnt mind her number being on here, its on leaflets that she leaves in all the local baby stores and things. You have to make an appointment to go as its run out of her house.

bubblagirl · 19/07/2006 18:09

hi eenywifemum congrats on the coming birth you have a whole lot of fun waiting for you it is great

bubblagirl · 19/07/2006 18:13

thalia

ebay is good for maternity wear as its all hardly been worn and reasonably priced or you could ask the council where you are for local sales they are normally in schools where baby clothes or cots etc are sold real cheap that includes maternity clothes in fact anything you could want our council holds one not sure if every council does though

eenywifemum · 19/07/2006 18:26

thanks bubblagirl! I cant wait, I am so so excited!! The birth just seems too far away still.

I've got a few things off ebay as well, and some bits at the NCT nearly new sale held in Chelmsford - the next sale is in Oct.

bubblagirl · 19/07/2006 20:43

yeah things like that are graet buying from new seems so pointless as they only ever really wear things once or twice alot of my stuff was passed down to me or off e bay we only got the cot brand new at least you have more money left to spoil them when they are here lol take care

eenywifemum · 20/07/2006 14:01

ooh our cot was one of our best buys - we got it from an NCT sale for £15!!!!!! Its LOVELY and in fantastic condition!! We got the mattress new and that cost a lot more than the cot! We also just got a Bumbo seat off ebay - I love ebay!

bubblagirl · 21/07/2006 07:19

me too ive got some great stuff for my son on there how far gone are you? hope the weather isnt affecting you too much

eenywifemum · 21/07/2006 13:01

well our dating scan said I was due on 1 Sept. the 20 week scan suggested it could be 15 Aug so it's anybody's guess!! Hopefully he will come in Aug as I am really struggling in the heat and am SO ready to hold him in my arms!!

bubblagirl · 21/07/2006 14:50
