well, it's been a trying afternoon as dd is borderline okay so wants entertaining whilst i am trying to work!

she kept her lunch down and has just polished off a bit of fish and some mash and some stewed apple and custard.

unnervingly she occasionally goes into the kitchen and fake vomits - like she did this time last night but it wasn't fake! charming behaviour, am trying to ignore it whilst having a catch bowl handy at the same time.

sfx, my french friend has added some great pics of the party on FB and there's a lovely one of minisfx.

i think we'll have a cruisy day tomorrow and skip swimming . bit buggered tho as mother has my kew card

Hi all

Don't want to hijack your thread (or stop you posting) but have you thought of taking this chat onto your local Mumsnet site? That's one of the reasons we set up Local so mumsnetters who were local-ish to each other could chat about local stuff. It doesn't really matter if you cross site boundaries -anyone can join any local site - but it might just encourage new mumsnetters if they see there's an active mumsnet gang in their area.

Anyway obviously we aren't going to force you to use Local Talk but just wanted to make sure you knew there was a Local Talk board for just this kind of chat.

You can find a local site (or choose one nearest to you all here)

and glad your dd is feeling better Paddlechick666

I've started a thread here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/4136/422381?rnd=1194890608858

I guess we could de-camp over to MN Local!

Does it still appear on active convos?

ps: thanks Carrie.

lemonaid · 12/11/2007 19:02

My Big Thought on that though is that "West London" covers a fairly huuuuuuuuuuge area, and is obvious to anyone browsing meetups. Whereas for Mumsnet Local we'd have to pick one area, and while all of the current posters could register for that it wouldn't be obvious to anyone new happening along.

sfxmum · 12/11/2007 20:37

I can see the points lemonaid is making there is no west london but several 'sub divisions' also for new members might take longer to find the thread
etc.

GloriaInEleusis · 13/11/2007 09:06

Maybe Carrie could give us a "West London" Mumsnet local area (hin hint, Carrie).

Kewcumber · 13/11/2007 09:51

should we start a petition for London to have North, East, South and West areas?

stepfordwife · 13/11/2007 11:20

agree there should be a west london local area

rosmerta · 13/11/2007 18:55

Yep, agree as well to local west london thread thingimebob!

Sj, nice to see you and ds yesterday, sorry about my ds pushing him around . Also, ds woke up with a cough this morning and has had a bit of a temperature this afternoon so he may have passed something on.
