well, dd wasn't interested in any supper then proceeded to vomit all over the kitchen. very weird as she had some toast at lunchtime and milk and a biscuit about 3ish all of which stayed down.

poor little girl. have just popped her into bed and am hoping that it's not some strange 7 hourly vomit thing.

have got a huge day at work tomorrow which i could really do without missing. think CM's rules are 24 hours after being sick plus if she has brekkie i won't know if she'll keep it down or not.

god! single parent ishooos eh!

kew, ta for man and van details. have got a quote from a 2 man set up for £200 so will speak to your guy too.

hope everyone else is feeling better soon.

bed for me shortly!

rosmerta · 11/11/2007 20:08

Hi all, we had to decamp to mil this weekend cos of the decorating but he's still not finished so I have to find somewhere to go tomorrow to get ds out of the house! Am praying for good weather! Btw, is anyone around to keep me company

Hope all the lo's are getting better.

rosmerta · 11/11/2007 20:09

Paddle, I'm already in bed with the laptop!

SJ99 · 11/11/2007 20:26

Ros, we go to toddler group on Mon am which is good so you are welcome to join us. It's at the Salvation Army in Twickers from 9.30am, open all day and you can drop by for 2hr slot anytime. I usually get there around 10ish

Otherwise am free in the afternoon if you wanted to do something.

rosmerta · 11/11/2007 20:39

hi sj, it would be great to meet up in the afternoon if that's ok, after ds's nap.

SJ99 · 11/11/2007 20:53

sounds good, will give you a ring after I put DS for nap

sfxmum · 12/11/2007 09:27

good morning all

how are your little ones today?
dd slept fine but seems subdued this morning, think we will have a quiet day.

Ros sympathies re pesky builders they never ever finish on time do they?

hi haunted hope you ok, dark early nights do tend to get to me too

SushiMummy · 12/11/2007 10:15

Morning all!

Hope all LOs are well or getting better.

DS had his first swearword (begins with tw) yesterday and I blame DH for this. His favourite word atm is disgusting.

fitfox · 12/11/2007 10:30

Hi all

yes, my DC's seem to hve aquired some choice swearwords too (I blame that church school they go to)

Sorry to hear about all the vomiting (blimey - will avoid you lot this weekI think LOL!!!)

We have been inundated with calls abot the room

I have used 2 websites
3 newsagents
1 loot

loot cost me £60 and most of the responses are from the £1 ad in the shop!!

Have 2 vewings tonight and another tomorrow but am rathe hoping, SJ, tht the nice guy from Saturday rings and asks to take the room. He said he will call tonight. This evening we have a woman who works at te BBc and a Gay couple coming - they all sound very nice on the phone, particularly the couple.

We had one of our motorway adventures yesterday when we drove down to Wiltshire and the M4 was closed (with no warnings) s a 95 minute journey took 4 hours

Had a fab time though with family

DS1 had his Holy Communion enrolement which was very sweet (must get his hair cut he looks like a rock star atm)

Can't wait for my swimming lessons on Weds - thnk I will go to the beginners group (rather than the intermediate - they said I can go to either) and give myself a gentle time - my sexy swimsuit has arrived so I can use my underwired boobs as floats (thank you for the idea sfx )

Hope everyone is enjoying ths fabby crispy and cold autumn morning!!

Hope all the Dcs are feeling a bit better now too

GloriaInEleusis · 12/11/2007 10:50

COV COV COV

We have a problem on the hotel front. The ones I sent you are now booked. Can you please e-mail me??? (prefereable with some suggestions) If we both look hopefully one of us will land something suitable.

SushiMummy · 12/11/2007 11:09

Happy birthday tooo meeee, happy birthday tooo meeeee, happy birthday deaaarr meeee, happy birthday tooo meeee.

sfxmum · 12/11/2007 11:14

sushi - it is almost impossible to keep them from swear words I think, best ignore and hope it goes away, at least it was not your fault unlike me who inadvertently taught dd her first

foxie - the room viewing sound promising, hope you find nice tenants.
sorry about the journey, I so hate cars and traffic, esp. as the annual pilgrimage to the north approaches. I have nightmares of being stuck for hours in the outskirts of Birmingham

sfxmum · 12/11/2007 11:15

Happy Birthday to Sushi

rosmerta · 12/11/2007 13:15

Happy birthday sushi - any plans?

Sfx, tbh I can't blame the guy for not finishing on time, the walls were a little worse than expected, his dad died & then a friend of his died. Apparently, never work for us! But he's promised he will be finished today.

Hope all the lo's are feeling better.

Paddle, are you still up for meeting tomorrow afternoon?

fitfox · 12/11/2007 13:16

Happy Birthday Sushi - have a lovely day and I hope you get lots of treats

OMG we have been inundated with responses about the room!!!! There are a whole load of e-mails in my hotmail account and my mobile is red hot from ringing all morning!!

I am now doing a group viewing this evening - telling eveyone to come at around the same time (well slightly staggered) so I only have 1 hour during which I need to appear to be a civilised and grown up landlady type . Also, in case any are mad axe murderers, so there will be other pople around
Phew!!

rosmerta · 12/11/2007 13:18

Foxie, are you going to do a Shallow Grave and ask them all v bizarre questions while taking their photo?

lemonaid · 12/11/2007 13:22

Happy birthday, SM. DS likes "disgusting" too. I'm not actually sure who taught him that one, although I have my suspicions

sfxmum · 12/11/2007 13:23

ros the harbinger of doom tough luck for the poor guy

foxie that shallow grave think should be fun Ros always has good ideas

lemonaid · 12/11/2007 13:33

Oh my, Xenia is outdoing herself today.

"I suggest you take her to church more and squash her idea about handbags."

(here)

sfxmum · 12/11/2007 13:37

oh lemonaid don't tempt me I am far too hormonal

Paddlechick666 · 12/11/2007 13:41

afternoon all

well, i quashed working mother guilt and attempted to take dd to CM (albeit a bit later than normal) with a view to dashing into the presentation.

car battery dead.

CM came to collect dd, I LOVE my CM!

local garage ordered battery and send a guy over to fit it.

barnes crossing has been hit so fast train to waterloo could be prosecuted under advertising standards me-thinks.

got to meeting 1 hour late. one hour into meeting CM calls, dd is hot, pale, listless and not doing well.

dash back to waterloo whilst staring into sky at great huge black cloud drifting over the city from what appears to be liverpool street.

all trains out of waterloo delayed or cancelled.

finally got home, car has been fixed and cost me £82 FFS!

about to change out of smart black skirt and go collect poor little dd.

ros, think a raincheck on tomorrow depending on how dd is going. don't want to pass on the germs either.

ps: black cloud is apparently a warehouse or bus depot fire at stratford.

SJ99 · 12/11/2007 14:35

hello all

Blimey, hectic morning for you Paddle, eek. Hope DD gets better soon.

Nice to see you earlier Qc & gherkin, he definitely looks to be on the mend with the aid of Thomas Tank engine

Ros, DS was asleep by the time I got off the phone. He might wake around 3.30pm anyway let me know when your ds wakes and we can co-rodinate plans

Foxie, good luck with group viewing. I once went to a group viewing, it was a bit like going to a museum with everyone looking round the house!

Happy Birthday Sushi fellow scorpion! Any plans? Hope you got lots of nice pressies

Paddlechick666 · 12/11/2007 14:38

ps: happy birthday sushi! sorry i should've said that earlier.

well, dd seems heaps better now. pingu on tv and me attempting to do some work

btw, i also love my local garage. they didn't even charge me any labour for coming round to the house to fit the battery.

maybe i should wear that skirt more often LOL.

SushiMummy · 12/11/2007 15:34

Thanks all! Sadly no plans for tonight (not that I know of anyway).

sfxmum · 12/11/2007 17:02

paddle that sounds rough hope dd starts feeling better soon.

dd has been ok all day but barely eating, even less than normal so we have been in all day resting and recovering. seems dd keen to get out as Tesco man just got a full on conversation from her - it is boring with just mummy all day
