Hi sorry sophable I have been really thick. I shall put the cheque in the post now.

My choice
Goats cheese
Monkfish
Prune and almond tart.

Oldiemum if you are reading this, I am coming form Oxford too. Shall we arrange together? I don't have a problem driving but it would be nice to have company I'll be nervous too as I am leaving dh to put 7 month old dd to bed and her hasn't done it before

CountessDracula · 20/11/2004 15:34

Do you Oxford peeps need recommendations of places to stay?

OP posts:
cas73 · 20/11/2004 19:58

Got your message sophable, will post the cheque tomorrow. Sorry for the delay .

OldieMum · 20/11/2004 23:48

CD - thanks but I'll come on the train and Prince Charming (aka DH) will drive from Oxford to fetch me (bless him).

Mrs Doolittle - Thanks, but I think I'd rather get the train and have the lift back from DH. As I said, you are welcome to come on the train and have a lift back as well, if you would like.

willow, thank you most kindly for your cheque, duely received and put in only safe place in house (out of ds's reach...not much is at the moment)...

willow2 · 22/11/2004 22:55

Hope they had a good lunch

Heathcliffscathy · 23/11/2004 13:21

thank you cas73, muminlondon and ladymuck for your cheques, recieved today (was almost a flurry by the letterbox).

i have had cheques from unicorn, bettys, zolapola, willow, ladymuck, cas73, muminlondon...thank you all, you are very lovely organised ladies.

Kas33 and Earlybird aren't coming, neither is Essbee, ff hasn't got cheques so is paying cash on night.

what about the rest of you:

batters, pamina3, serenequeen, madgirl, potpourri (can't email you, still havent' heard from you), beetroot, nickiey, fisil, mrsdoolittle, oldiemum, dinny, metrobaby, vivat, dev81 (still haven't heard from you, can't email you), xenawp, swanny.

some of you have emailed me, some haven't, but can you all make the massive effort (i know it's hard when you have bambinos) to get a cheque in today's post...sooner this gets sorted, sooner i can't stop sorting it (and sooner we can get the chqs to the restaurant in a done and dusted way).

xxx

MrsDoolittle · 23/11/2004 13:48

Cheque is in the post. I probably missed the postman last night so it may not have gone til this morning but it is on it's way

Now what to wear?...

OldieMum · 23/11/2004 14:04

sophable - just to check - it's a cheque for £25 to Nozari, is that right?

CountessDracula · 23/11/2004 14:05

Ballgowns I think....

OP posts:
MrsDoolittle · 23/11/2004 14:06

Ah good. So I can wear my rad meringue number with the black velvet corset?

Heathcliffscathy · 23/11/2004 14:08

oldiemum: yup! with oldiemum written on back so i know who you are!

vivat · 23/11/2004 15:02

Many apologies but I am going to have to pull out as best friend is having party that night and I will be shot if i don't go. Hope you all have a fab time

Vivat

serenequeen · 23/11/2004 19:58

hi sophable and cd

i posted my cheque today, so according to the post office stats that were in the news earlier this week there is a 92% chance it will turn up tomorrow!

I would like (this seems like the popular choice):

Goats cheese
Monkfish
Prune and almond tart

thank you both so much for organising this and i look forward to seeing everyone on Dec 11th.

and no i haven't a thing to wear!

CountessDracula · 23/11/2004 20:25

Maybe we should make it a rule that everyone wears black top and trousers, then noone has to worry about what to wear

OP posts:
unicorn · 23/11/2004 20:30

ah but Countess... some black tops and trousers will be more designer than others (!!!!)..
so even something as supposedly plain as black could cause all sorts of insecurity!!!

maybe a MN T-Shirt and Thong?? .It'd make a great photo op/advert for Mumsnet!!!(bit like that Dove campaign........)

OldieMum · 23/11/2004 20:49

Sophable - I posted your cheque today.
