Congratulations Binkle!!

Berrie · 12/10/2007 15:14

The pictures were taken backsatge as a memento of his time at Phantom. There was a lovely one of Lee as Raoul(or whatever)and a nice one of Lee, my friend and 2 other thesps at an after show christmas party. Lee still had lots of makeup on and I asked why he always has his makeup on and apart from saying "because he's Lee" with a sort of shrug, he said that Lee was always last to leave the dressing room so they always had to rush him before he'd taken it off. (friend describes him as sort of puppyish)
He didn't make me feel like a saddo in any way and did take it in good humour, he seemed more worried that he wasn't very good at giving any info. He did laugh at my picture of Lee! Anyway, like I say, I can always ask any other questions that you have apart from what's Lee's phone number obviously...though I am tempted to steal his phone! {grin]

Berrie · 12/10/2007 15:15

You must be really quite thin Binkle for your belly to be showing already! You couldn't even tell I was pregnant at 20 weeks if you didn't know!!

Zebedeedoodah · 12/10/2007 15:25

congratulations Binkle I'm so happy for you, but want to give you a big hug for your mother, which is just an awful thing to be dealing with. I like Oggs' suggestion.

oggsfrog · 12/10/2007 15:28

Loving the idea of Lee as puppyish. Is your friend working at the moment Berrie?

oggsfrog · 12/10/2007 15:30

Binkle, if it's a boy what will it be, Lee or Joseph?

Berrie · 12/10/2007 15:36

No, that's why he's around at the moment. He has a pantomime starting early December though and he does adverts and stuff.

Berrie · 12/10/2007 15:37

Ahhh little Lee Binkle...good idea Oggs!

Berrie · 12/10/2007 15:40

You didn't miss much on the cream tea Oggs...it wasn't worth belly room.
The scones were burnt on the first batch and just not as light as the cornish one I had last week on the second attempt. The jam was too sweet and the clotted cream too...tasteless really

Berrie · 12/10/2007 15:49

Were you trying Binkle or was it an accident?
How wonderfully exciting...you do realise we'll all have to hang around for 9 months and beyond now talking about more traditional Mumsnet stuff!
We'll metephorically hold your sick bucket, masage your swollen ankles, pass you lumps of coal and jelly sandwiches and then gently rock your newborn while you catch up on some sleep...or bung it out in the cold for a few hours depending on how you like to do these things!

oggsfrog · 12/10/2007 16:00

Ooh, forgot to tell you... we got two kittens last Fri. 8 weeks old and gorgeous. Newt and Snail.

Zebedeedoodah · 12/10/2007 16:22

Can we all be honourable aunties? Think of all the experience we have between us, and all that really useful unsolicited advice we can offer. ooh, can I touch your bump please?

My SIL is being induced on Monday.

Berrie · 12/10/2007 18:02

Yikes, exciting time for you too Boing.
My friend is having a Caesarean on Wednesday!

Berrie · 12/10/2007 19:21

What are we all up to this evening then?
DH is out so no natural limiter to the end of the bottle for me...uh oh!
No-one comes to play much any more!
Lyra is too busy down the gym and hanging out with her nursery friends (Berrie tries not to sound envious and begrudging)
Oggs is uncontactable in the wilds of a distant land most of the time.
Boing must actually be doing some work nowadays and Binkle is busy trying to slim down her bulge which is actually a tiny, tiny Bubba!

Berrie · 12/10/2007 19:22

Newt and Snail!

oggsfrog · 12/10/2007 20:26

I overdid the wine last night while watching episodes 3 and 4 of Heroes so won't be joining you
Think I'll have a quiet night reading.

oggsfrog · 12/10/2007 20:29

Do you like the names?
Dd was keen on fluffy, soppy, predictable names to start with but I used to know a cat called Snail and thought it was a brill name, and Newt seemed to go with it.
I'll get some photo's tomorrow.

Berrie · 12/10/2007 20:33

I think they are great names!
Where are you at on heroes?
I can send you a dvd of the whole lot if you don't have them

Berrie · 12/10/2007 20:33

I had a cat as a child called Sooty...I wish I had chosen something better not least because he was a very mean cat who really did have 9 lives!

Berrie · 12/10/2007 20:50

Right, I have more self control than I think...off to bed, wine left in the bottle!

oggsfrog · 12/10/2007 20:57

Sooty was one of the names dd suggested for Snail
Could you really let me have the whole lot of Heroes? Mum has been taping them for me but she forgets sometimes and the first 10 mins are missing or the end is chopped off We've only watched the first 4 episodes up to now. Would you be doing a copy? If so I could send you a blank and an sae?

oggsfrog · 12/10/2007 21:02

Coo. I thought I went to bed early. Do you read in bed or straight to sleep? What time do you get up?

Berrie · 13/10/2007 07:00

Morning!
Oggs, I think that your dvd player might have to be capable of doing divx {not sure if that's how you write it} come to think of it. Do you know if it is? I will check with dh when he wakes up. It's not a particularly fancy feature, we bought dh's brother one for his birthday with a copy of the entire Heroes and the entire Lost as it was cheaper than a box set or both. I bet you could watch them on the computer if that was going to be any good.
I am quite capable of going to sleep at 9pm but if dh does not come up too I might read. I also listen to the radio with headphones. The children wake at 6am and drag me out of bed by 6.30 (that's the price I pay for putting them down at 6/6.30 pm . As it happens I ended up watching the Tudors in bed last night. I don't suppose you've seen it yet. I'm rather partial to a bit of Tudor history...and the Henry chappie is a bit of a dish Move over Lee?

MrsSeanSlater · 13/10/2007 15:29

Hello!
I'm feeling bloody awful today after overindulging on the Cava last night. It was the annual music quiz night at DSs' school and everyone brought lots of nibbles and booze. It was a good night but despite scoring on average 7 or 8 out of 10 on most rounds, we came 17th out of 18 teams .
I must be getting old because I just can't shake off a hangover like a used to. And I'm sure I didn't even have that much Cava. Oh well.
Many many congratulations Binkle!!! Are you excited? Were you planning to have more or is the baby a surprise? You've got a great excuse to ditch the diet and exercise now.

oggsfrog · 13/10/2007 16:15

Berrie, I know I can definately play divx on the computer. Possibly on the dvd player. Is Lost still going? I saw the first couple of series I think. Mmm.... Sawyer and Dr Jack

Jonathan Rhys Meyers is nice. Is he not a bit weedy though? I remember him as Steerpike in Gormenghast, years ago. The Tudors is full of rumpy pumpy isn't it?

Lyra I can sympathise. I was poorly yesterday from over-indulging the night before
