Ok somehow, I've appeared on the list as having paypal when in fact I don't! I need an address to post a postal order, can anyone help in that regard? Also might be worth others checking that they are not down as having paypal if they don't have it.

I think CD id going to accept cheques from anyone who doesn't have paypal. But, she doesn't want your money just yet anyway.

What do i do with a postal order?
I seem to remember them existing in the dim dark ages - can they just be paid into a bank a/c?

I had to send a PO to someone the other week, and I was quite shocked at how much they charge for them on top of their value iyswim.

I haven't had a cheque book for about 900 years. They never send them to me, and I never order them.

Can I ask why you don't have paypal? You just need a bank account and an email address. Or maybe you just need a credit card?? You can deffo do it with a uk bank account and add credit cards.

Is paypal going to take a cut of the transfer if we all paypal you? Don't want you to come up short times £100. I think paypal only takes a cut if the transfer is over a certain amount and that amount is probably more than £25. But just want to make sure you don't take a hit if paypal takes a percentage of the transfer.

well i DO have paypal but its empty, as is my bank account, but dh has kindly said i can take it out of the joint account. so thatll have to be a cheque

If you sign up for paypal, and link it to the account you can just initiate a transfer with a click of a button. Easy as making a mumsnet post.

And I think CDs life will be easier if she can get the payments in paypal rather than snail mail.

CD - they won't charge if people pay from funded paypal (i.e. if they have the funds in there or if it is linked to a bank account). However if (like me) they have it linked just to a credit/debit card then you'll pay fees. I think that's right anyway
