Oh,missed this-can I come too? I have to work til 11.30,but can come afterwards if you aren't all planning to go home early!

I'm from Leicestershire,near Melton.

EscapeFrom,I'd love to give you a lift, but can't get 4 children in the car.

EscapeFrom · 09/08/2007 22:43

It's FINE CuriousGeorge, the train is easy peasy, and I can go via Leicester Market, which I LOVE.

I am looking forward to this now!

choufleur I'm in stoney stanton, we could know each other!

mrsharrypotter · 12/08/2007 14:15

Please can I come too with my ds (3.5yrs) and my dd(10mnths). I am actually at work now, on Abbey lane, I can see Abbey Park. [mrsharrypotter has to calm down as people are staring]

choufleur · 12/08/2007 19:07

ohh how exciting mrsharrypotter! i'm fairly new to stoney stanton (moved here in march) and don't really know any other mums here. very exciting to be meeting other real life MNers though.

Just everyone keep their fingers crossed that i can still make it. Ds has suspicious red spots emerging - not sure if it's the pox (can anyone tell me what chicken pox look like before they blister?)

OP posts:
mrsharrypotter · 12/08/2007 19:58

We moved there last september, I hope it's not the pox, another real live mumsnetter lives in my village!

choufleur · 12/08/2007 20:00

if it is the pox then we'll have to meet up another time anyway

OP posts:
mrsharrypotter · 12/08/2007 21:00

Definatly, but you arranged it, you should be there. fingers crossed for a heat rash!

2boysmacca · 12/08/2007 21:18

Just dipping in, hit your link by mistake (was on a postnatal thread so how the heck I managed to get to this thread....) and freaky freaky, was born in SS.

Gonna try and find my way back to my original thread now....

tigerschick · 12/08/2007 21:25

Oh choufleur - if it is cp, was it my dd who gave it to your ds? Probably. so sorry.

choufleur · 13/08/2007 18:23

dont think its is the pox! only got 7 spots and they've all been there since yesterday and havent blistered.

tigerschick · 13/08/2007 18:25

Woo Hoo!
Roll on Thursday - it's forecast to be dry again by then - not so for the next couple of days tho!!

choufleur · 13/08/2007 18:35

yes - the bbc site said rain tuesday and wednesday but dry thursday - although not so warm. only predicted about 18 degrees

OP posts:
tigerschick · 13/08/2007 18:36

As long as it is dry. Cold is easier to cope with, as long as dd hasn't grown out of all her jumpers

Who's going to risk it then?

NineUnlikelyTales · 15/08/2007 18:54

I'm going to wait and see what the weather is like in the morning. I do want to come, but can't drag DS out if it's pouring with rain like it did today (and which I was caught in)

I'll check on here before I set off.

Hopefully see you all tomorrow

EscapeFrom · 15/08/2007 19:55

Ok, anyone else?

I am hoping it stays dry - cold I can deal with, I mean how cold can August be? - but rain and parks and walking to bus stops doesn't mix!

choufleur · 15/08/2007 20:14

it doesnt predict that its going to rain - it should be ok.

EscapeFrom · 15/08/2007 20:20

It has brightened up over here in Melton...

FuriousGeorge · 15/08/2007 21:16

I'm still planning on coming-unless it is raining.I'm hoping to nip to the market for some cheap fruit & veg afterwards,so don't fancy that walk in the rain.
