Just thought I would get this up and running before the old one is full.

Welcome back, 2cute. [smle]

PC,
Good news about the mortgage.
Have you tried online supermarkets to see what sort of products you're eligible for?

Moneysupermarket.com is the best in the area. I used to work with them. They cover 99% of the market and you don't have to apply through them. You can apply direct with the bank or speak to an IFA.

I sent you an email to your bigfoot address. Did you get it?

rosmerta · 01/08/2007 13:41

Mellow, depending on what time ds wakes up then I may head over to Kew, I'll text you if I'm going but don't wait around specially.

sfxmum · 01/08/2007 13:45

dd on strike it seems, refusing to go out
strange child!

btw i have about 5 mosquito bites from our outing yesterday, not since i lived abroad i think weird weather

rosmerta · 01/08/2007 13:47

sfx, your dd makes me laugh, sorry!

sfxmum · 01/08/2007 14:00

her current favourite book is 'the runaway dinner' , the sausages peas plates, etc. have names
so she spends ages naming crockery cutlery and every foodstuff she consumes

2Cute · 01/08/2007 18:20

lol at mini sfx!

QC - If we're up and ready by 11ish, we'd love to join you in kew gdns. Though, I still haven't made a pass yet. Anyone know if I make one there and then?

Sushi - It's a sin too keep Hawaii's glory a secret! It's always been a dream of mine to go there so I was worried if it would live up to my expectations but it did.

If the weather holds up, I was wandering if anyone fancies doing a day trip with the kids next week? Maybe Legoland or sumfink?

sfxmum · 01/08/2007 18:26

2cute yes you can they give you a temp card.

might join you all on friday too

mellow2 · 01/08/2007 18:26

That is funny. sfx. That sounds like an interesting book. Dd would be interested in any book that has lots of food in it. She's just as greedy as her mum.

Sorry, ros. I have just seen your message as I just got back from Kew Gardens.

No worries. I think Kew Beach is dd's second home this week so we'll probably see you at some point.

Oops. Broadband connection is playing up.

Btw, sfx, how was your dental visit?

sfxmum · 01/08/2007 18:30

have had an utterly boring day, even started threads on MN

dd stuck to her guns then fell asleep at 4.

as a consequence of too much time on my hands i scrutinized my face with a magnifying mirror and found alarming wrinklesnext time i do that i shall take my glasses off

sfxmum · 01/08/2007 18:32

dentist lovely as ever but a filing of a molar is no fun my jaw still aches.

good things i don't mind needle, drills etc. dentist is also getting used me wanting to see what he is doing via mirror

rosmerta · 01/08/2007 18:33

Ds is a nightmare atm, whenever I make any plans, no matter how vague, he decides to sleep for ages! So we didn't make it to Kew after all, but am planning on going at some point definitely!

lemonaid · 01/08/2007 19:26

Hello all. I appear to have been extensively dined upon by some nasty little mosquito or equivalent last night, and have about a dozen bites in various places. So far as I am aware DH got off unscathed...

Kewcumber · 01/08/2007 20:00

all those with mozzie bites stick close to me - the little critters can't ignore me. I am the human jam at a picnic for wasps of the mozzie world.

It looks like my steps might be done tomorrow (and therefore usable on Friday) in which case anyone want to come to mine instead of Kew at about 11ish? I'll let you know tomorrow evening and we can either do Kew or here.

mellow2 · 01/08/2007 23:22

Dd is also being a nightmare. After having been taken out a few days in a row, she will whine, and if ignored, bawl, until she gets taken out.

If I don't take her out I fear I will end up smacking her. Atm, the flat looks even more like a bomb site as I'm too knackered to do anything when I get home.

I hope it's a phase that will shortly end as I don't know how long I can continue doing this.

mellow2 · 02/08/2007 09:11

QC,
I would have love to come but dh is finally going to be wfh Friday and I'm taking myself off for a very overdue pedicure (my only extravagance these days).

Ros,
Would you like to meet up in Syon Park this pm? We might give Kew a miss today.

Anybody else interested in meeting up in Syon Park is also welcome.

mellow2 · 02/08/2007 09:12

"would have loved" rather

sfxmum · 02/08/2007 09:19

morning all

i might have a tantrum if dd decides she wants to play at home today

at what time are you planning Syon park? need to work out how i would get there. it is near my old job so i generally avoid it.
is it the entrance on London road?

kew sounds like a plan for tomorrow

sfxmum · 02/08/2007 09:20

KC invite/ suggestion i mean should we bring a picnic and plenty of admiring aahs for the new garden?

Kewcumber · 02/08/2007 09:27

lets wait and see if my step is done today in which case. Social worker should leave by 11am so everyone is welcome from 11am and picnic lunch would be great - I have a tiny paddling pool for amusement and lots of gravel which provides DS with endless amusement...

Mellow - DS has been going through a very difficult phase over the last couple of months so I know just what you mean. He just coming out of it now and although still demanding is generally in a much sunnier mood. He has started being much more proactive (rather than just whining) where he comes and takes my hand and leads me to where he wants me to be. Cue that he wants to go out is finding keys and trying to put them in the front door lock .

Steppie gatehr that your whole family met DS and her en-masse she said he was so excited that he wore himself out trying to impress you all!

mellow2 · 02/08/2007 09:27

I'm pretty easy, sfx. What time would suit you? We could have a picnic lunch.

Kewcumber · 02/08/2007 09:28

oh and on the offchance - my lovely CM (previously foxies) has a full time space availble from September. Any age from 3 months, though she would prefer pre nursery age.

mellow2 · 02/08/2007 09:29

Thanks, KC. I'll stop tearing my hair out now.

SushiMummy · 02/08/2007 09:34

Mellow, when I was a SAHM I used to take DS out every single day regardless the weather. I think getting fresh air is really good for both of you.

QC picnic in your new garden tomorrow?

Good morning, all!
