I'm in Edinburgh too.I would come to a meet-up. I've been once before also about a year ago. However it would have to be out of work time for me too.

beansmum · 14/09/2004 22:37

i don't have to worry about work so anytime/place suits me. what area are you in pacific?

I can be flexible about times/days too as I run my own business. ds 4 1/2 and dd 22 months.

deegward · 16/09/2004 13:18

I come from Edinburgh, and get very home sick when I see the name mentioned. Hope you all have a lovely meet up

tabitha · 16/09/2004 14:55

Well, does anyone want to suggest a where and when?

beansmum · 16/09/2004 20:18

don't want to suggest a date, i'm free all the time

I'm in Newhaven and would be interested in meeting up. I have ds who is 20 weeks and dd who is 4. DD at nursery some week days. I'm on maternity leave hopefully until April 2005. Places in Edinburgh that I visit regularly which are good for meets with prams are - Ocean Terminal (Starbucks/Costa/Ocean Kitchen/Debenhams) or Vittoria (but only if decent weather to sit outside) or Botanics (free to get in but coffee a bit expensive) or Museum in Chambers Street (but I work there so have to say hello to all and sundry). I'm off on holiday now until 2 Oct but will check up on return...

midden · 16/09/2004 21:58

ds in nursery in the morning so afternoons are better for me, but I don't mind taking him out the odd day.

spots · 17/09/2004 21:45

should we make it late october ish so that there's still time for more people to join in??

I like the idea of going somewhere with stuff to look at as well as coffee... Botanics a good idea, if weather good...

Someone told me today that there's an exhibition of toddler toys starting at Museum of Childhood soon; would seem appropriate! hopefully there'd be grabby section too.

We are away this coming week so I may be a bit silent. Am basically up for anything!

beansmum · 18/09/2004 15:09

sounds like a good idea to wait until late october.

just got my timetable and have wednesday afternoon off, not too worried about taking a day off though, have done this term already last year so can easily catch up.

love the botanics but the weather might be a bit dodgy

Hi, I'm in Alloa just down the road from Stirling. I've been here for about 10 months now and haven't met any other mums. Would be great to join you for a meet-up sometime.

PattyToo · 28/09/2004 14:27

Hi I am in East Lothian so Edinburgh would be easy for me. Would LOVE to meet some other mums with babies (as opposed to toddlers). All my friends had their children 10 years ago and I am feeling very inadequate for not having made life long friends during my four weeks of ante natal classes! My DD is 6 1/2 months. I have wangled a few more months of maternity leave so don't go back until January.

gscrym · 28/09/2004 15:01

I'm just outside Falkirk and would like to come, shifts allowing.

Loobie · 30/09/2004 14:06

ok a where- we had a meet up before in little marcos,it has a soft play/bouncy castle and huge ball pit,a little cafe downstairs which looked as if it left a lot to desire but the food was good and the hot chocolate fab,the play area is quite big and upstairs but has a lift, plenty floor space which we all sat about on gassing and the kids had a ball.Just an idea!!

spots · 30/09/2004 14:47

Suppose the 'when' is the difficult bit... but how about Friday November 5th? I know I said late October but...

Marco's sounds good to me. Have always been curious about what lurks behind that ambiguous facade...
