Hi All I live about 12 miles south of Lincoln, older than most of you I think DD's are 10 & 12.

Nice to know there are som MN'ers round here!!

flossie64 · 17/09/2007 19:04

Hi bossyb, welcome to the thread.
I have not been around much lately . I have a 4yo DD and a GIANT sized 16yo DS. i hoppe to be able to catch up with you all soon , but at the mo I am a bit stuck as DD has just stared school and is doing the ridiculous hours of 12.50-3.20pm until 8th Oct.

bossybritches · 17/09/2007 22:29

Hi Flossie! It's a bummer these settling in days isnt it? I don't think it benefits anyone except the teachers really, I know it helps them get to know the kids though.

LouiseSJ · 18/09/2007 13:55

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. I know you are all busy with children back at school and work and everything. Keep in touch on this thread and we'll arrange a meet up when everybody has got some free time.

Welcome Bossybritches.

bossykate · 18/09/2007 13:56

hello

there is a poster called notyummy looking for lincolnshire mums - sleaford area. perhaps someone might pop in on her thread.

Notyummy · 18/09/2007 14:15

It is I!

Piffle and I live about 4 streets away from each other and decided we should meet for coffee/cake etc.

Was wondering is there was anyone else fairly close to Sleaford who fancied joining in?

Cheers all.

bossybritches · 18/09/2007 14:52

Hi there NY! I go to Sleaford msot days as DD1 is at school there. Do the drop off at Tesco & shoot round to get bits for tea trolley dash most mornings!! Would love to meet up at some point for a coffee.

Notyummy · 18/09/2007 14:57

Hi bb. We were thinking of a Friday as I usually work Monday - Thursday.

How are Fridays for you?

bossybritches · 18/09/2007 16:24

Fridays are a bit difficult at present, but hopefully after Christmas it should be OK,or on the odd Friday if we'er not short-staffed I mightbe able to slip out (opd forbid some "me" time!)

LouiseSJ · 28/09/2007 14:21

Hi everyone. It's all very quiet on this thread at the moment. So I just thought I'd type up a quick message to try to get things going again. Where are you all? Are you all well?

mrspnut · 01/10/2007 13:39

I'm in Lincoln and very bored, so I shall jump in here with both feet.

LouiseSJ · 02/10/2007 11:23

Hello mrspnut. Welcome to this thread. Have you always lived in Lincoln? Whereabouts are you? I've been in Lincoln since December. I am 27 weeks pregnant with my first baby. Do you have children?

We do arrange meet ups now and again, but everybody has been busy recently. You say are bored. Do you work? I'm not too busy at the moment. I'm self employed but I don't have work every day so I could meet for lunch one day.

Let us know when is a good time for you and we'll see if anybody else can make it.

mrspnut · 02/10/2007 14:51

We moved to Lincoln in July from North Yorkshire.
I have 2 kids, 10 years and 14 months. I'm a SAHM at the moment and my OH works at RAF Waddington (but not in the forces).

We live in the new estate off bunkers hill and I have transport.

I'm bored because I've left all my friends behind, my OH has gone to Rome for a conference and I'm a bit down in the dumps. (nothing that a total life transplant wouldn't cure )

flossie64 · 02/10/2007 20:30

Hi everyone , hope you are aall well.
louise I hope the bump is growing well .
mrs pnut - nice to see another new name. My Dh was at Waddington( in the AWC) for 3yrs but is now down south. Just shout if you want to meet up and some of us are bound to be about . We have met up near you at the carlton centre before now and it was a nice cafe.
Give me a shout when you are available . My dd starts full time at school next week so it will be easier to escape.

LouiseSJ · 02/10/2007 20:32

I know how you feel. It is difficult when you move to a new area and you don't know anyone. I moved here from Norfolk. Do you want to meet for lunch or a drink on Thursday or Friday?

Anyone else free to meet up this week?

Piffle · 02/10/2007 20:33

I'm free this week , finally!

LouiseSJ · 02/10/2007 20:34

Hi Flossie. My bump seems to be getting bigger every day. I'm feeling a lot better now though, not tired all the time like I was earlier on in my pregnancy.

How is your dd getting on at school? Is she enjoying it?

Emparade · 02/10/2007 20:38

Hello netters. Am also new to Lincoln (4 weeks) with twin girls who have just started school. Am feeling bereaved as mother and todd. groups were great way of meeting other mums to chat and eat lots of cake. Would like to continue eating lots of cake up here too - anyone free?

Piffle · 02/10/2007 20:39

emaprade am also mouring loss of dd to school lucily I have a cute 6 mth old left to nest with

Sounds liek we should sort out something then ladies?

LouiseSJ · 02/10/2007 20:41

Hello Emparade. Good to see more people joining this thread. It has been very quiet for the last few weeks.

As Flossie said, we have met at Alexanders in the Carlton Centre before. They have lots of cakes. Although I haven't tried any of them. Maybe we should meet there.

Emparade · 02/10/2007 20:44

Is that in town? Name a shop nearby so I can place it ie)proximity to thorntons.

LouiseSJ · 02/10/2007 20:48

No it isn't in the centre. It is up the North of city near Outer Circle Road. We could meet in town if that is easier.

Emparade · 02/10/2007 20:54

No thats fine, have car and a-z. Know outer circle road as dunelm is there. Is it the place with lidl and boots and the petstore?

Piffle · 02/10/2007 20:55

ok name a place and I'll try and find it LOL
