If we can book the place out, then that would be fantastic.

Although, i think that a couple of MNers should go there first and check it out, you know, for entertainment, noise levels, etc

Betty - just copy and paste the list into your message and add your name at the bottom before posting.

Stay away from Bar Salsa! Hot, sweaty and far too many drunken city folk coming in for late drinks! No chance of fun dancing! Bleurrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh hate it! lol

However, if that's where you choose to go I shall say hi to you all and spend the night dancing with gorgeous young salseros!

I think I went to Bar Salsa for my hen night. Think - because it was organised by a friend and alcohol was involved.

peachygirl · 05/07/2007 20:56

can I come?

I can offer a sofa bed too if someone wants it

NotQuiteCockney · 05/07/2007 21:09

No City folk on a Saturday.

One of the options mooted earlier was a City pub on a Saturday night. Will be dead quiet, so easy to hire - I think someone on here had managed to hire one before. I can't find any reference to it now, too tired to think.

tiredemma · 05/07/2007 21:20

I have been to that bar im sure about 3 yrs ago if its the same one.

it was hilarious.

which district is charing cross rd? it was definitely 'Salsa!' that I went to

MarsLady · 05/07/2007 21:21

I'm happy to come but the music will probably make me desert you to go to my fave Salsa venue

OP posts:
crunchie · 06/07/2007 07:32

bar salsa is as rough as old whatevers. You want somewhere you can eat, chat and dance?? Bar Salsa will be full of hen-nighters and boys on teh pull. Not a great venue IMHO considering what people want to do. It is also massive so we wouldn't be able to have the whole thing or anything. Honestly.

I will look at city type place this evening - near liverpool st so easy access and I know there are hotels around that are cheap too

NotQuiteCockney · 06/07/2007 07:39

I think Counting House etc was mooted, as well.

City is good, anyway, as:
a) quiet on Saturday
b) very safe
c) lots of rail links

Hard to get something trendy though, and the food might not be as good, at least not in a pub, when I worked in the City it was all 'big plate of fried things'.

(Hmmm, I wonder if the All Bar One near Liverpool Street would be an option? Nice food, nicer than a normal pub generally, too ...)

StarryStarryNight · 06/07/2007 07:47

Here is me with a couple of, probably hilarious suggestions:

How about Pizza Express? There is one in Farringdon, should be quiet on a saturday?

How about hireing a church hall?

Function Room in a pub?

Are hotels totally out of the window?

yeahinaminute · 06/07/2007 12:27

Ok count me in - haven't scrolled through this thread so can someone please tell me where and when - Walrus - I'll drive up and we can stay in DH's club - cheap at the weekends - we can have a suite for £100 !!!

yeahinaminute · 06/07/2007 12:30

If no-ones mentioned it yet how about Dover St wine bar??
