Before we all break up for the school summer hols, or break down with our alleged Alpha Mummy lifestyles - who fancies lunch in Spitalfields?

Dates I'd like to suggest are Thursday 12th July or Monday 16th July...

Marina i'm gatecrashing. You missed my 'how did your holiday go' thread. We had rain , did you? We went from Portsmouth to Caen in the end, ans i looked around furtively for you [no idea what you look like] for the whole trip!

Marina · 28/06/2007 16:28

Aw ruty, we were a week later than you I think, and had sunshine mostly, sorry
did you manage to have fun regardless of weather? A lot of locals to us were saying "thank heavens you weren't here last week"
We did Calais with a stopover each way - easy motorway driving, but tres long.

oh i thought we were the same week! We did have a few days of sun, but three days of rain in the middle. Glad the sun came out for you.

bagsundereyes · 28/06/2007 18:45

Marina - I would love to join you all, but I have the little one with me, and I wouldn't dream of bringing her along while you all get some precious child-and-work-free time . I'll keep lurking on here though, and join you all when I can, if that's ok?

Marina · 28/06/2007 18:47

We are already sabotaged by hoxty's dd, and honestly little ones are welcome. They usually get wrestled away from their mothers and cuddled by everyone else in turn, bags so don't let that put you off, truly

Yes - I can vouch that City Lunches are child friendly - I treated the last one to both the Kif babies.

I think I might give this next lunch a miss.... I watched my Dd eat soup with her hands today (like baby bro, you see)... perhaps I shouldn't push my luck.

Hope all goes well - jura.

E14 is my neck of the woods, so I'll keep an eye out for that one.

I heard from someone it wasn;t a typo but a faithful recreation of how the original was written. Which is probably b*lls

CF2 - I think you were one of the first people to "talk" to me (as Suejonez) so I'd love for you to come as you were kind to this newbie.

controlfreaky2 · 29/06/2007 09:26

aw, thanks for that. really hoping to make it.... of course i remember you as suejonez. i think i was banging on about whether to take sabbatical from hideous job!...... look at us now, me at home with my ds's and you with that gorgeous boy!

Marina · 29/06/2007 09:39

So that's who you were Kewcumber, durrr . And there was I wondering how Suejonez was getting on
hope you can make it controlfreaky and really sorry about the date clash jura, we will be thinking of you all.
I'm sure it will not be the first time we have seen soup eaten with hands Kif remember we have all worked in the City st some point!
