Count me in!

Kewcumber · 20/06/2007 14:18

24th Sunday
KC
Foxie
Sushi
Mellow
Stepford
SFX

From 10am to 1pm arrive whenever you like

I'll supply tea coffee water and some biscuits. If you want lunch here, bring your own. If the weather is rubbish (forecast is rain) and theres loads of us, we should consider going to Mothercare for a coffee.

sfxmum · 20/06/2007 14:20

that sounds like a plan

Kewcumber · 20/06/2007 14:23

I can supply left over plastic plates and probably have enough teaspoons if you want to feed your little treasure something that needs a spoon. We can throw picnic blanket on teh floor in the living room if needs be at about noon and have a picnic in there - though as most of you know it ain't that big if we have 6 mummies and 10 children , though we use kitchen too

Are there any daddies coming?

SushiMummy · 20/06/2007 14:39

No, DH staying home gardening which he promised to do 3 months ago! So it's just me and DS. Thanks for asking, QC. Where is your house, btw? (No need to tell me on here, of course!)

ComeOVeneer · 20/06/2007 14:40

I may be able to make this Sunday, not sure yet, depends wether dh needs the car.

Kewcumber · 20/06/2007 14:50

no no no Sushi - let him come - tell him to bring his gardening gloves...

SushiMummy · 20/06/2007 15:02

and a lawn mower? Well, we had a huge row this week over the state of the front garden (he ended up sleeping in DS's room!) and I gave him a week to sort out.

Kewcumber · 20/06/2007 15:06

I had an argument with myself about exactly the same thinfg sushi, it was a humdinger and I made myself sleep in the spare room too.

SushiMummy · 20/06/2007 15:11

TBH, DH is a bit frightened to see so many mums and kids.

foxcub · 20/06/2007 17:41

KC

Sushi - what happens if he doesn't sort the front garden in the next week then?

I had a mega row with DH the other day about our back hedge, which resulted in him attacking the hedge with a chainsaw and me helping him!

Kewcumber · 20/06/2007 19:57

what happens is that Sushi wil make come and meet us all on Sunday

foxcub · 20/06/2007 20:25

Kew are you doing the open gardens again this year?

SushiMummy · 20/06/2007 20:37

Well, we have this plum tree in the front garden which needs cutting down (too old and too dangerous). We have a permission from the council to cut it down so all we need to do is to call a tree-cutter (?) to do the job. It's as simple as that but he has been putting it off till now. He doesn't seem happy when it comes to paying someone to do things for us. Maybe it's the northern men thing??

Last night DS watched a bit of Shrek on TV which we didn't think much of, it's just a silly animation film, we thought. There were some fighting scenes and thought maybe DS should not be watching this. Surprise, surprise, DS cried all night (nightmare?) and I really feel bad about it now and will never allow him to watch anything other than cbeebies.

Kewcumber · 20/06/2007 21:17

hadn't thought about it Foxie - suppose I could. Can't imagine DS in some of those immacualte gardens though

Luckily Ds not too interested in TV yet unless its Teletubbies or the theme tune to bob the builder.

foxcub · 20/06/2007 21:47

Kew - I'm going to the one at my old house. mught leave the Dcs at home though...

Well we were sitting round in the garden tonight, eating DS1's Dr Who birthday cake, me with my little family and a cold beer in my hand. You know, I felt like a millionairess

SushiMummy · 21/06/2007 09:04

Foxie, happy birthday and many happy returns, DS1!

SushiMummy · 22/06/2007 14:22

Don't you hate it when your last post sits on top of a thread for ages, like you killed the trhead...?

Anyway, am I the only one who doesn't know where QC lives?

SushiMummy · 22/06/2007 17:40

there's an openhouse at the nursery DS goes tomorrow between 10am to 2pm if anyone would like to go. apparently, there will be a bouncy castle along with other usual toys. we might go if the weather is nice.

foxcub · 22/06/2007 20:12

Sushi - I'm only posting so you don't get lonely on this thread

You "thread killer"

lemonaid · 22/06/2007 20:16
