Fastasleep · 25/01/2005 15:29

Hey biglips...even though mine is one almost I'll no doubt spend at least half the time on Thursday feeding him... don't worry there's always someone sat down at a table or something... Sorry Grandmas wasn't so fun Janine! I went to the Monday Mather Avenue thing and that was really nice I definately could never get to farmer teds by myself though lol...

leglebegle · 25/01/2005 17:54

I forgot to say there is also a tumblebabes at the same place on mather avenue on mondays at 1.15pm I think. I thought I'd see what tumbletots was like with George before enrolling charlie in that though. I am also enquiring about a music play course, as I used to do monkeymusic in london before I moved here and that was fantastic. I'll post any details I get on here in case anyone else is interested in joining. Only other info is if anyone is a member of the David Lloyd in Speke, they have tennis lessons for tots on Saturday mornings which we have joined and its a real laugh going, and then swimming after. Something to do anyway. I've been finding and joining 'activities' as George is too old for the coffee morning stuff and I'm a bit fed up of it after having done all that only 2 years ago. If anyone has any info (MTS is usually amazing at this) about any fun activities please let me know!

fast - grandmas was going really well, george met a lovely little boy called thomas, i was chatting to people, having coffee, reading latest heat, and then I found him being pelted by the horrible kid and 2 sidekicks, he was crying and shouting no and covering his glasses. when i asked them what on earth they thought they were doing they said they were trying to knock his glasses off. I have never come so close to slapping a child in my life.

Fastasleep · 25/01/2005 18:02

Yeah those are the 'ready steady booby!' boys....don't ask...little scally bullies!

leglebegle · 25/01/2005 18:08

I have to ask! ready, steady, booby ????

mishi1977 · 25/01/2005 18:11

leagle..when i was at all souls on mon i was reading the notice board and saw that they do a soca tots thing for kids from walking to five..was thinking about emailing to take adam along..sont know if george would be interested

Fastasleep · 25/01/2005 18:11

Well they've never actually done anything to Theo but they were playing in the ball pool on the slides and sort of cheekily looked at me and Mishi then whispered together and jumped down the slide yelling 'ready steady.....BOOOOBY!'... I presume its them, can't be more than one louis with two friends...I've seen them repeatedly poke a little girl and make her cry before now sigh can't avoid these annoying people they're everywhere!

hopes everyone gets well soon

my baba had her cough for the past month and docs said its not on her chest as its in the back of her throat - but she got a bad cough - poor thing but she is a jolly happy baba anyway , decided to go to docs this morning as since xmas im feeling absolutely shattered and cant get out of bed till i kick myself to get out. gonna have some blood tests i hope and hope they can find out. Went shopping ystrdy by train with the baba in the pram to Bootle Strand, oh boy - i am NOT fit as i was knackered then had to go to college in the nite - ZZZZZZZZZZZZZzz

Fastasleep · 26/01/2005 10:00

Why were messages deleted? I hope you're all feeling better soon...does that mean no one's up for anything tomorrow? I hope Mathew gets better Julez that sounds scary!

biglips · 26/01/2005 11:46

just been to docs and im gonna have blood tests for aneamic and thyroid next week, but the main possibly source which i started a thread "my shrunk appetite after gave birth", my appetite is smaller than it was before i got pg. this afternoon got a medical appointment as i was in a car crash nearly 2 yrs ago sp trying to claim for compo. tmrw at baby massage BUT im free alot of days next week - yippee so i can meet up.

mishi1977 · 26/01/2005 12:18

pmsl...dont know why notes were deleted...hey ho...wasnt anything important anyway

leglebegle · 26/01/2005 13:12

Mishi and fast, they were deleted as I asked MN to take out the one's where the little boys name was mentioned. I thought about it last night and though if his mum ever came on here and checked it out she might be upset as I called him horrible Probably an over reaction on my part, but I felt a bit mean and wouldn't like to upset anyone.

Julez - poor Matthew. George used to get high temperatures all the time, I thought the nurofen was better at bringing it down than Calpol Just make sure you keep him cool. I used to sponge George down with cool water very gently and let him sit in his nappy and vest. Hope he's okay, I know its so worrying. George used to vomit if it got past 38, which was very worrying, I phoned NHS direct too at one point. Let us know how he is.

mishi1977 · 26/01/2005 13:15

hi legle thats fine...hope G enjoys tumble tots this afternoon
i used to take adam to the gymbabes in childwall which he loved but it was a bit expensive as all he wanted to do was crawl from one end of the hall to the other..but then again he was only 6mths old...might think about it again when he is a bit older

leglebegle · 26/01/2005 13:23

I got the day wrong Mishi, I though it was today but its tomorrow. I will post tomorrow about the soca tots email address. I might well try the tumblebabes out with charlie if its good. Adam is very mobile for his age, do you think it helped him or was he just naturally physical?

mishi1977 · 26/01/2005 14:06

i do think it helped him or helped us to help im aswe took him when he was 5mths..(i lied and said he was 6 ) but withing 2 weeks of going he was able to crawl as they showed us exercises to use with him. But a lot of it was things you could do at home and once adam was crawling he wasnt actually interested in using any of the equipment there i used to put him on stuff and he would make his way off and go towards the opposite wall..so it is hard to sayi do think it gave us a push in helping him more but he has always been quite a sturdy baby...eg could hold his head up from day one and was sitting up by 4mths...i think its worth a go maybe even just trying the taster session with charlie and see how it goes

julezboo · 26/01/2005 14:36

hey thank u all for get well wishes, he is no better alder hey said he has a viral infection, gop says he has croup he just seems to be gettin worse not better even tho his does of calpol has been increased, im in a bit of a state over it, dont really know what to do for the best he wont let me near him onl to wipe the bogeys lol, now hes sleeping i think ill see how he is when he wakes up x x x x

biglips · 26/01/2005 14:40

hey - i ordered a baby walker and it arrived today, baba loves it but only for 5 mins but at least she likes it for 5 mins.

julez - good to hear its not serious

biglips · 26/01/2005 14:46

i went all the way into town centre and even paid for the parking ticket only to realised that the receptionist said its wed not thurs as my appointment was thurs - DOH! (and the dctr wasnt even there today - grrr!) i said 'oh no, i thought it was thurs' and receptionist just pointed at baba to say 'thats why you've got the days mixed up' so back tmrw

Fastasleep · 26/01/2005 16:18

That baby gym thing sounds good...Theo can so walk...in fact does, but then he gets scared and sits down...he only likes to walk holding onto things cos he's so timid...maybe it would help him! Lol!

Glad Mathew's ok...well ok-ish...Theo's had a temp of 39.6 before now... we had his gran (a nurse) around and we had to keep watching him all the time and bathing him in case of a fit!! That was only the flu over xmas, it's scary.

Biglips glad your little one likes the walker... don't put her in it too much or she'll be madly running around at 7 months like Adam! (You'll be exhausted!)
