stoppinattwo · 18/04/2007 06:27

Aww Nemo you are thoughtful........Im away the last week in may (cornwall) but will be about for the afternoons the following week so dont mind...........tis half term those weeks

lulumama · 18/04/2007 07:21

farmer teds !! so fab there and the food is marvellous !

hope the picnic went well, was gutted to miss it, but my car is fixed now, so should be all set for the next one !!

i think

Leander · 18/04/2007 09:47

Im up for the next meet up, Dont mind where but i have never been to Farmer Teds so would like that.
Sounds like you had a great time at the last one whilst I was working.
We ended up going camping on the Friday and had a fab time the weather was glorious and the kids had a ball i have never seen the two of them so dirty.

andyrobo237 · 18/04/2007 13:06

I dont mind either - Farmer Teds is a rgular haunt of ours and has plenty of room to run around and have a picnic, etc (the food is lovely but expensive). Gullivers World would also be good - but we stand the chance of losing kids, or disagreeing about who wants to go which way! We are around half term week, but not the end weekend (1st june) as we are going to Center Parcs

REIDmylips · 18/04/2007 13:11

i would like to come to the next one, although DS is only 8 months so i dont think he woud appreciate Gullivers very much!

stoppinattwo · 18/04/2007 13:33

Farmer teds..........please, first week in june, after andyrobos is back

Nemo2007 · 18/04/2007 14:21

lulumama · 18/04/2007 14:27

CAN I REMIND YOU ALL , TO TELL ALL YOUR PREGNANT FRIENDS, THAT IT IS THE BABY DAY AT ORMKSIRK HOSPITAL ON SATURDAY , 11 - 4 !!

thanks !

JaamyBunny · 18/04/2007 15:06

Lulumama - one of my sister's friends is pg and living in Formby. Can't remember whether she went to LWH for her last one though as she has had lots of problems. Meant to mention your day to her at the weekend and forgot. Promise I will get the message to her before the weekend.

Farmer Teds, first week in June sounds good to me. However can only make thurs and fri (as usual!)

AND...drum roll, please...I am picking up a Renault Scenic (7 seater) tonight so will be able to offer a lift to anyone who wants it. It will be like driving a bus!

Browny, will you need a lift for you and DS2? Could also fit in 2 more of your DCs if they are still off for half term then. You have first option.

If the weather's good we can always BOO (bring our own!) and picnic at Farmer Ted's, can't we?

Nemo2007 · 18/04/2007 15:10

ohhhhhhhhhh jaamy of your car..was just talking to DH about how much I want a 7 seater..you will have to tell me what its like..lol

OP posts:
JaamyBunny · 18/04/2007 15:19

Hi Nemo

Drove it last nite, briefly. It's like a bus!!! Will take a little getting used to. But a t least we can now fit all the camping gear in AND the DDs. Also room to expand the family some time soon, but shhhhhhh - don't tell anyone!

Talking about camping, we should really do a communal camp. Somewhere nearby - Browny said that Riverside in Southport was good. So many of us seem to have all the kit. Might be nice to have a little mini break together...or not...what do you think?

Nemo2007 · 18/04/2007 15:25

actually does sound good although we dont have a tent at the min I am working on it though.Bonus with somewhere like southport is that I could even go if Dh is working as he can just join us of an evening..lol

OP posts:
JaamyBunny · 18/04/2007 15:51

That's what I thought. MNers could turn up for one night and then go again or just come for the day if they don't have any gear. Thought it might also be nice for DHs/DPs to see what we girls get up to.

If we planned it well in advance for say, Sept (when pitches might be a bit quieter but weather still ok) then everyone will be well warned and will also give you some time to get your tent sorted.

Just trying to get the use out of my minibus!

andyrobo237 · 18/04/2007 20:07

Oh this is getting complicated as usual! Are we looking at the half term week (the BH Monday is the 28th May) or the week after? Farmer Teds is very very popular in half term (not a reason to NOT GO, but I recommend getting there before lunchtime - also maximises the use of the place for the day, and get the opportunity to do all the activities - guinea pig holding (if you are over 5), pony grooming, watching a cow get milked, meet the llamas, etc).

Nemo2007 · 18/04/2007 20:13

I have no idea when so someone just pick a date and we will be there..

Anyone free tommorow or friday afternoon??? Need to keep the terrors entertained and no idea what to do!!

OP posts:
Nemo2007 · 18/04/2007 22:18

anyone..need some adult company who isnt my dh[before we kill eachother..lol]

OP posts:
mummytosteven · 18/04/2007 22:23

S is in nursery tomorrow and friday afternoon, and I'm too lazy to arrange anything out of the house for the morning (unless you fancy coming to my basement dungeon flat ). Could do something tomorrow or friday afternoon, don't mind coming over to H*** and doing the charity shops and Asda cafe .

OR there is a european market/beer festival on near Mystery Center Wavertree on Friday, I quite fancy toddling round that.

Browny · 18/04/2007 23:02

Jammy - ooh, fancy you driving a 7 seater, I'm sure you'll soon get the hang of it, dh said that our car was like driving a bus at first too, now a normal car feels too low down and tiny! Thank you for the offer of a lift, if we have the meet up in the half term I won't be able to take you up on your kind offer though, I'll have all four children and no-one else to babysit . We'll probably be away somewhere on the Bank Holiday (well, here's hoping) and the first week in June I'm hoping not to be around (it's my birthday and I'm hoping for a night away.... 1st time ever away from children!!!). Anyway, apart from half term and the first week in June I'm free!!

JaamyBunny · 18/04/2007 23:12

Sorry Nemo - not around tomorrow - got to tax the bus, sorry car, take DDs swimming and get myself sorted for this weekend which will largely entail laying out all DDs' clothes and leaving various notes around the house so DH can cope while I'm away. Hand up who thinks he'll chicken out and take them straight over to my mum's??

Oooh, Browny. I hope your DH has a lovely surprise planned for your birthday. If you're around and I can squeeze in any of your brood when we visit Farmer Teds, the offer is still open. Could get all your Dcs and mine in the car together but that would only leave one place for an adult and I'm afraid I'm not brave enough for 6 children on my own!!!...yet!!

Andyrobo - I was assuming that it was going to be w/c 4th June but don't think we'd decided a date. COuld be wrong?!

SNOWBall4girlz · 19/04/2007 00:34
