Hello, I'm a Brummie who now lives in New Zealand. Me and my Ds who will be three, are coming home for six weeks in August to visit my mum in Moseley. We are a bit out of touch in Birmingham now and don't know any other mums, was hoping that closer to the date some of you may fancy a meet up so Ds can have a play and I a probably much needed chat!! Thanks

I was supposed to have done the first class the following week! I hadn't even had the tour, even though I had spent a month in and was in the DAU three times a week! lol

Next time I am going to tell them after a 20 week and 31 week birth I want to have all the classes early!

EmmaJW1976 · 21/09/2007 09:48

I had been to one ante-natal class but hadn't had a tour or anything.

Like you I had been in practically constantly since 27 weeks so I did know the place quite well!

I had pre-eclampsia.

I went in at 20 weeks because of my first baby. The kept me in four weeks and then about two weeks later I went in again because I had bad BH, while I was there I hurt my back and ended up staying in most of a week. I went into labour at 31 weeks, so I had only been out a couple of weeks again! I stayed in two weeks then and was back in after three days to spend a week on transition ward!

Plus in between I had three scans a week, not to mention how many I had when I was in!

I didn't have anything wrong with me as such. I had my first one at 20 weeks because I have an autoimmune disease that they didn't know about, I basically rejected the placenta. I was treated during the next pregnancy but because I was on pregnancy #3 and never gone to term it was probable that I wouldn't again. Now I have no chance!
