Hello, I'm a Brummie who now lives in New Zealand. Me and my Ds who will be three, are coming home for six weeks in August to visit my mum in Moseley. We are a bit out of touch in Birmingham now and don't know any other mums, was hoping that closer to the date some of you may fancy a meet up so Ds can have a play and I a probably much needed chat!! Thanks

i am a black country lass. i am in kingswinford about ten miles outta brum.

kjaysmum · 14/04/2007 10:11

It's funny when I hear a black country accent over here I always say hey your not from Brum are you you're black country, people always love it! My sister lived in cudley dudley for years so I'm pretty good at spotting it. I have only a vague hint of a Brummie accent now I've been gone so long but I shall be brushing up on it when I'm over and hopefully Ds will come back with a tad of his heratige

How is everyone?

My dd will be 5 on 1st August and bump is due to arrive in October.

I am looking forward to meeting up withyou all.

Hello all, well it seems the internet may not be on at my Mum's when I'm there, there seems to be a bit of a debate going on as the computer is in the box room which is to be Ds's bedroom so before I travel it'd be good to get a contact number from one of you I can keep in touch once in the UK.

Hi Cat, it'd be great to have some older kids there too, I find my Ds responds really well to older kids I guess it's cause he has cousins here eight and ten, and he loves them to bits, you are welcome

Are we all still on for a meet in Cannon Hill Park or somewhere similar?

kjaysmum · 28/06/2007 08:05

Hi Muminbrum,
I'm still up for it, cannon hill park sounds good. I'll have to let the old jet lag pass first so perhaps we can provisionally say Sat the 17th of August, to be confirmed on my arrival, sound ok?

We won't be able to make the 11th, as we are away until the 12th
If it can only be this date then I understand. Hope you have a lovely trip

kjaysmum · 15/07/2007 08:36

hi whimsy, well we'll see how it goes, but I honestly think we're going to be up for a few meet ups while we're in Brum so Ds can have some playmates and me some mum chats so shall we see what happens closer to the time.
