Hello, I'm a Brummie who now lives in New Zealand. Me and my Ds who will be three, are coming home for six weeks in August to visit my mum in Moseley. We are a bit out of touch in Birmingham now and don't know any other mums, was hoping that closer to the date some of you may fancy a meet up so Ds can have a play and I a probably much needed chat!! Thanks

ok, I have arranged to meet up with Nappy addict for a picnic in Cannon hill park on the 11th August I think it's better to keep that date going and hope some more of you can come too. I'd like to arrange another meet up with you whimsey and Winnie the pooh for another day if you like, do you work, could we meet on a weekday. I am out of birmingham from the 16th to the 24th of August and from the 1st the 10th September and I fly home on the 18th Sept. Can we work around that do you think?

was just looking back over the thread and wanted to say hi to you, stretchmarks and was wondering how you are doing now, so close to your time. My flying in date is the 4th August and it's also my sister's birthday. The internet is now on at my mums so I shall be watching out for you on the birth announcements, best of luck

hello all, On the plane in two days, we are very excited, have been told to bring my waterproofs, come on UK, we're coming from a very sunny winter, please stop raining!! Nappy addict and I are still meeting in Cannonhill park on the 11th (if it's not too wet) if anyone else can make it , would be good. If not I'm still open to other playdates for my Ds if anyone fancies a meet up. Still kicking myself I can't make your summer picnic so as to meet a whole bunch of brummie mums together, hope the weather clears up for you all.

I have tried to phone you nappyaddict but no reply, what a shame after planning this for a while, I really hope you can still make it and will be in touch.
What time would suit you Bluestockings, our Ds's are the same age and it'd be really nice for my Ds to have play, poor lad is really missing his friends and his dad.

Hi there, afternoon is better for me, as DS has gymnastics (or "elastics" as he hs it) in the morning. Say about 1500? I would suggest that we meet in the courtyard outside the MAC and we can then make our way to the playpark, if that's what the boys want - I'll bring a football etc.

Hi ladies, great to see this thread brought you stourbridge dwellers together. I've just returned from more visiting and am home all week but fly off to Portugal to see my dad next Saturday for 10 days. Would be up for a park meetup later in the week but it would have to be a weekday which I think is no good for you Bluestockings, am I right? Do you ever go out in the evenings, maybe a glass of wine in moseley is a possibility,as I never go out I quess I should use the fact that my mum is here to babysit! what do you think?

don't realy know mosely so maybe a drink in the city centre would be more ideal. could go for something to eat too? don't know many places cos i don't eat in bham often but nice places i've been to are cafe rouge on brindley place, the living room and del villagio (not sure if thats how its spelt) on broad street, bella italia on new street. oh there's a bar outside the mailbox called bar room i think which does nice food aswell. the duck pizza is to die for!

oh dear can't make it this week anymore as I have to go see my other sister, minor family crisis! Thanks loads for the offer though Nappyaddict, I'll get back on when I return from Portugal and perhaps we can try again.

yep i'm free mondays and tuesday nights generally. possibly thursday and friday nights but might be harder to get a babysitter.

I had a lovely time in Portugal and am back now but unfortunately am completely out of time. I think a night out now is not really realistic, I have still got people to see and am preparing me and Kjay for our long haul back. Very sorry I never got to meet you....but I will be back again so I shall let you know when it happens again.

Hello Figroll, shame we didn't catch up earlier, I'm only in Moseley.

That would be great! Having a premature baby I missed out on the classes where everyone else seemed to have made friends with parents of babies the same age as their own.
