Hello older North London mums - are you out there?

OP posts:

ahhh, a mere amateur i had over 100 on my bedroom wall, i saw him at milton keynes when i was 14 and i remember thinking "i have now achieved everything i wanted to".
The NCT around here is pretty cliquey - and run by a frightening woman out for world domination. Ooh i could tell you a thing or two about her.
Loving being a mummy and yes he is a wonderful age - i'm due back at work soon which will be a big change after nearly 14 months off.

Seeing him was wonderful but I waited for the chance meeting and the marriage proposal to follow....aah teenage daydreams oh yeh!

NCT - Ooh do tell. grin]
Yes - cliquey is the word which comes to mind, from the couple of occassions I have been there; real shame.....

Work: yes I can remember how I felt going back after my first baby - a bit of a trial. Are you going back full-time? Do you have a long commute? Where's your little boy going?

sophus · 25/08/2008 21:04

hi - do you want to email me - sophied_ctad at hotmail dot co dot uk?

Now that we are (mostly) back from holidays shall we try for a meetup of us older London mums? Maybe coffee during the day or an evening glass of wine?

It looks as if there are quite a few of us round and about Islington.

Let me know what you think. It would be really nice to meet some of you.

elkiedee · 26/08/2008 17:34

Hi, I'm in north east London - Tottenham - and work in central London, either Islington or Hackney would work well for me if someone picks a date I can gatecrash.

I'm 39 with a 15 month old son

3mum · 27/08/2008 10:50

Thanks elkie. Anyone else?

kdk · 27/08/2008 22:28

Hols? What hols - does a long weekend near Boulogne count? Ignore me, I'm just jealous ...

I'd be up for a meet-up - Islington would get my vote - or somewhere west end-ish if that's easier?

KiwiKat · 31/08/2008 21:45

Am so pleased I found this thread again - yes please, I'd like to join you in Islington or Hackney at some stage.

Goldenoldie and kdk - apologies for just wandering off mid-conversation, as it were. I feel that I've been so rude!
