New West London meet thread

Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

Puds - I can get there with DD at 12 noon

ComeOVeneer · 26/02/2007 21:30

Foxy I am a SAHM (dd is at school 9-3) but if I can be a back up and help in any way I will. You must have done this before between having ds and dd (was it this fraught (sp), or has your situation changed? - that is simply nosey, you don't have to answer).

foxabout2pop · 26/02/2007 21:36

COV - thanks.

My Dad looked after DS when DD was born. He made it very clear that he was doing us a huge favour and I was extremely anxious as he doesn't particularly care for DS and is very intolerant of children.

As luck had it my waters broke and I was given an appointment for induction, so I was able to "book" my Dad, rather than rely on him appearing at short notice - then on the day his partners was also around so it worked out OK as she's really nice and was also childminder.

I'm hoping she'll be around this time but unfortunately her 15 year old neice is staying with her this week.

sfxmum · 26/02/2007 21:50

hi foxie try not to worry we will sort something out like Sue said

puds/ foxie might make it to lollipop maybe sometime between 11-12 depending on the rain and my mood

Paddlechick666 · 26/02/2007 21:56

evening all

easy said Foxie, but don't worry mate. we'll be around and available and ds and dd know most of us reasonably well by now.

i've got to go to the office thursday & friday i'm afraid but can get back to Kew in an hour or so.

am sure we can descend on your Dad and ensure dd & ds are okay.

ooh my swedish friend is arriving on Saturday with her 5 month old dd. will be bringing her to 2Cute's party so you all get to meet her.

very exciting, almost as exciting as Monti's impending arrival!

suejonez · 26/02/2007 22:08

Paddle - do you want to borrow the microlight back? Perhaps we could meet for coffee in M&S/motehrcare over the weekend or I could bring it to 2cute's party or I could drop it off - whatever is easier.

I'm working from home tomorrow and DS is at CM if you want to meet for a childfree coffee?

Foxie - I promise I will do everything I can to make the childcare arragnements painfree for you, I'm sure the more local amongst us here would also agree.

I had my share of help when I got my parcel in Kaz - more than happy to pay it back now

My father is a git too, I absolutely understand.

quokka · 27/02/2007 08:46

foxy I meant to say that I can do anytime this week as neighbours are on hols so don't look after their dd. I can always drop ds1 at nusery so am free and easy . Will have ds1 but he is sooo chilled that you wouldn't even notice him or could drop him at t2bgood's.

suejonez · 27/02/2007 08:47

where is everyone - isn;t there normally a handful of you posting at 6.30am?

suejonez · 27/02/2007 08:48

ooh cross posted - ello Quokka. Are you excited about Sing?

2Cute · 27/02/2007 08:48

Foxi - I totally agree with Sue, we'll all hang around you like a bad smell, you just try and get rid of us!!

Puds - yep, still up for the lollipop. I'll be there by 11:30.

Morning everyone else

sfxmum · 27/02/2007 08:48

yes and isn't foxie one of them? did something happen?

quokka · 27/02/2007 08:50

very! Just want everything confirmed so we can organise the move. There is a small chance that it may not happen, but a very small chance!

PC and I are might be going to cpc this arvo if you want to come?

2Cute · 27/02/2007 08:50

you're right sfx, she is......

suejonez · 27/02/2007 08:51

sfx - wanted to ask that about foxie but held my tongue - we will drive her mad! (tee hee)

suejonez · 27/02/2007 08:51

2Cute · 27/02/2007 08:55

sfxmum · 27/02/2007 08:55

sfxmum · 27/02/2007 08:58

oh a good nights sleep even dh woke up with dd's antics last nightshe was fighting dragons in her sleep again

2Cute · 27/02/2007 09:03

It's so weird when they do that isn't it? Thanks so much for that link you sent. I showed it to DH and managed to convince him that it is totally normal and not some mumbo jumbo going on!

sfxmum · 27/02/2007 09:15

there are lots of other sites about dreams and night terrors in toddlers but not a lot of studies have been done on the subject.
kids do that then they have imaginary friends, guess it is better than the inappropriate friends they will have at some point later in life

Paddlechick666 · 27/02/2007 09:27

morning all

what happened to the sun? got a mountain of washing i thougth i could dry on the line today.
