PhoenixGirl · 13/05/2007 20:29

If i can motivate myself to get ready for 10 i'll come, if i don't i'll see you both another day

Gingermonkey · 14/05/2007 07:24

Grace is off school today, she's a poorly girl so I won't be coming

Chloe55 · 14/05/2007 17:32

No idea what is wrong with ds - nanna has had him all day and he was really tired when he got home at 3.30, I have tried to put him down for a nap but he is having none of it. Nanna says he has been a bit ratty all day, he is currently in his pjs, screaming from his cot. I have given him Calpol, he refused his tea and milk, I have tried to give him cuddles but he won't sit on me, just flings himself off and whinges - he is so tired so I am seeing if he will go, will check on him again in 5mins.

A mum from ds's nursery has been round to tell me that her dd has chicken pox and she was with ds at the incubation period so she wanted to warn me. She tells me if he has it then he will show symptoms in a week as he was with her dd last week I hope he doesn't get it - I have never had it! He has also drunk loads of water today - that's not a sign is it?

Hope you had a nice day at leapfrogs if you went today. I went to Cheeky Monkeys with mum yesterday, it looks awful from the outside but is great inside - we will have to arrange a meet there one day too.

Yes Smiley I did mention that we would try for #2, prob in a few months for reasons very similar to yours. Not sure I'm looking forward to the pg or the newborn baby part either

sarahhal · 14/05/2007 17:42

Fingers crossed it's not chickenopx Chloe although am afraid it does sound like it may be. Mine had it at the same time when they were 2.9 and 4 months!
Did you go to Cheeky Monkeys at Waterloo? It's nice inside isn't it? We had DS1's party there last year. Always think it's the poshest of the play places but not much for under twos!

Am a bit emotional at the moment as just found out that DS can start school part time in Sept and not Jan as we thought. That means with me working full time for these two terms there's no more time for me with him full time He may not start until Jan though as even though I am going part time in September I'm not sure how we can juggle part time school, work and nursery for Tom!

Good luck if the chickenpox kicks in (get the Medised out but don't mix with piriton for the itching!!)

Gingermonkey · 14/05/2007 17:45

SOunds like chickenpox to me too chloe. He might be ok though, Leo has had it and he was fine once he started showing spots. Just to make you feel better, Grace has worms!!!! Nice!!!!

Chloe55 · 15/05/2007 09:16

LOL GM!!!! Well, he has a small rash on his belly this am but it looks very much like heat rash. He is in a much better mood and has eaten. I have also just remembered that he had his MMR 11dys ago and the nurse mentined he might get a rash 10-14dys post injection so could also be this I guess. Please, please, please don't let it be chicken pox!!!!!

Gingermonkey · 15/05/2007 09:33

He may have been having an off day of course. Both of mine have had chickenpox and Leo was covered in them, he wasn't even 6mths old! But he was fine, and Grace had them when she was older, I think she was 4 but she was also fine, so it's not the end of the world if he does get it - neither of mine were very itchy. Grace is back at school today to infect the other kids with her worms! The HV told me I didn't need to keep her off and that I can use the over the counter medicine for Leo too, even though it's not for under 2s (something to do with a license).I was supposed to going round to friend's tonight for tea but she has asked us not to, becasue of the worms!! I was a little bit [shocked] tbh, every kid gets them and usually more than once and they don't make you ill, just itchy. Of course, if Grace had told me about her itchy bum a bit earlier it wouldn't have been so bad! My friend is a bit OCD though (I say a bit, I mean a lot - she wipes her dog down with anti bac wipes when people touch him!!!!).

Chloe55 · 15/05/2007 09:45

Bloody hell, and she's your friend

Chloe55 · 15/05/2007 09:45

? (forgot the ?, I wasn't making a statement!)

Gingermonkey · 15/05/2007 10:49

she's a looney! But I do love her, and she is so aware of her OCD. I just take the P out of her for it. Still think it's a bit silly that she won't let us come round because of our worm infestation though . I wasn't plannning on wiping my bum on her face, ha ha ha!

SmileyC · 15/05/2007 15:10

GM You make me howl!
Hi everyone by the way!!!!

Did youmeet up Monday in the end? Sounds like you didn't?

I went to a place a bit liek leapfrogs, down this way, on Mon. Had a bit of an upset tummy last night and this am-think it was their warm chicken salad......

Finally got to sit down at 2pm (up at 6.20). Thought DS was just being difficult and trying to avoid being put down but discovered that crown teeth are coming right through, as well as inscisors (sp?) that have been popping through. Think it's about 8 new/emerging teeth in the last few weeks. Ouch! Poor little lamb! As soon as he went down, I put GnR on loud on MP3!

Being lazy now but don't have the energy to do much solate in the day. He ought to be good for another hour yet. may go and read my book for a bit.

Who was reading Pies & Prej? title made me laugh. What's it about?

Chloe55 · 15/05/2007 15:14

Smiley - is that you on the Derby Mile for Maude photos?

SmileyC · 15/05/2007 15:31

Yes Chloe, that's me, minus the specs! Well spotted!
Did you do the YSP one?

SmileyC · 15/05/2007 21:13

Hmmmmmm......Quiet in here!
Just popped on to say hi. Not planning on staying on here tonight. Want to read!

PhoenixGirl · 15/05/2007 23:37

I've signed myself up for the race for life today. Chloe which are u doin? Mine's at pontefract racecourse 15th July at 14.30.

Smiley - i noticed you in the Derby MFM pics too

Ginger - Hope Grace is ok. and at your OCD friend.

Chloe55 · 16/05/2007 08:42

No I didn't do the YSP one

PG - Well, I'm in a dilemma because I have booked my holiday to Ibiza on the day I am meant to be doing the race in Huddersfield - my friend is going to see if she can change it but there didn't seem to be many dates left last time I looked. Well done for signing up!

PhoenixGirl · 16/05/2007 08:47

The ponte one was full but they released some more places yesterday so i thought i'd go for it.

Gingermonkey · 16/05/2007 09:58

Grace is still itchy! I think she's riddled with them, took the cat to the vets today to get him wormed in case she gives them to him (he's my baby) . She cried yesterday when Warren picked her up from school and told her she wasn't going to her friends , bloody mental woman (Grrrrr).
So Chloe, are you starting the little one clubbing early - Pascha and Manumission in Ibiza? Watch out for the foam though - he might get lost . I want to go to Ibiza, but not the clubby bits (too old now), maybe one day I'll get round to going to the places I want to go to!

Chloe55 · 16/05/2007 20:58

Good God no GM, 'tis gonna be a girly holiday - strictly no boys allowed

Gingermonkey · 17/05/2007 07:37

watch out Ibiza!!!!!!

Chloe55 · 17/05/2007 07:48

The last time I went to Ibiza I was pg and it sucked - there were about 20 of us so you can imagine how much fun it was watching them get pissed!

Gonna be a much cheesier holiday this time as we are stopping in San Antonio Bay - not the classiest of places but if it has sea, sand and erm....sangria then who gives!!!

Gingermonkey · 17/05/2007 08:10

you'll have a fab time - the cheesier the better, you can always do fancy and sensible holidays with DH and DS!

SmileyC · 17/05/2007 21:31

Hmmm. Have a lovely holiday. We have nothing planned. Would like to get back to camping. Any of you taken little ones camping? How old were they and what did they sleep in?
Bot been abroad since Honeymoon (4yrs in Aug) Not too bothered. Like Uk hols, as long as weather holds out!
Must dash in a min. Going to veg with DH in front of our programs!

PhoenixGirl · 18/05/2007 19:45

Hi

Smiley - We just got into camping before Lew came along and we haven't been since. We bought all the gear - tent, airbed, sleeping bags, pans, cutlery, table, chairs, stoves, pans everything u can think of and its stuck in the attic for now. Would love to go again but we're sticking with caravans til he's older. The last time we went abroad was to Bulgaria 2 weeks after i found out i was pregnant and i couldn't relax to enjoy it.
