We said January at the last one, so here we are!

Hands up if you fancy it?

To anyone not been before we normally have a meal at the Swan at Whittington one night.

Congratulations Lunarsea!!
Yep, 26th sounds good to me, health allowing. Not been too good but now the doctors are on the case I'll hopefully be up and about - which is a very long winded way of saying count me in!!

BettySpaghetti · 05/01/2007 14:25

Glad you both found this thread

I just thought -does anyone recall seeing a thread a while ago with someone saying they were from round here and interested in a meet up? Maybe I imagined it?

I'll do a quick search.....

HonorMatopoeia · 05/01/2007 14:26

Think I remember the one, wasn't she in Telford though?

BettySpaghetti · 05/01/2007 14:29

I just found it -it was exbury who is from Worcs/Herfordshire border. She posted back in Nov but nothing since unless she changed her name?

Furball · 05/01/2007 14:40

itsthawooluff mentions exbury further down

Wasn't there someone else that lives near you betty?

BettySpaghetti · 05/01/2007 14:45

oh yes -waterfalls does. She hasn't been to a meet up as she doesn't drive so I offered to give her a lift a while ago but I think her DH was working (got a feeling he works evenings?)

I haven't seen her on here for ages though.

sassy · 06/01/2007 20:43

Just bumping this...

MistletoeMiggins · 06/01/2007 20:49

thanks sassy

hadnt seen this as usual

I will try to arrange a babysitter asap

looking forward to seeing you guys again & Happy New Year!!!!

jenwa · 07/01/2007 19:12

Its bizzare reading messages from people in worcs, you never really know where people are from.
I am from worcester and have a DD. its interesting to know that you all meet up. Its good for those especially who dont know many people around the area. I will certainly keep looking and maybe come up another time.

MistletoeMiggins · 07/01/2007 20:20

come this time - we dont bite

i was nervous the first time but it was great!

BettySpaghetti · 07/01/2007 21:29

Do come along jenwa -its a fun evening with good food, great conversation and much laughter

HonorMatopoeia · 07/01/2007 21:54

Would be good to see you jenwa, as the others have said, it is a great laugh and a good way to make new friends. It is very strange as you just can't call people by their 'real' names though. Furball is Furball, Lunarsea is Lunarsea and so on!! Made for quite an interesting message to the pub last meet up, I was going to be a little bit late but didn't want people to think I wan't coming, so had to ring and ask the waitress to tell them Honor wouldn't be long (thank god I changed my name from dizzymama!!)

Furball · 08/01/2007 06:57

jenwa - it really is a good night and to top it all the food is fabulous!

Has anyone seen Littlefish?

jenwa · 08/01/2007 11:57

Thanks you so much but I cant make this month, my sister in law is expecting her 2nd baby and already has one 15 months old, she is due feb and feeling very tired and miserable so we are giving her a surprise party at mine with some nibbles and gifts for just her! I think its hard 2nd time round as no one gets as excited as the 1st and she has most things so we thought we would buy her some treats.

Keep me posted of the next date and can bring my sister in law along as I am sure she will want to escape at some point.

Have fun, sounds a good laugh.

HonorMatopoeia · 08/01/2007 20:56

I'll email Littlefish

rbj949703 · 11/01/2007 22:59

Are we still on for 26th?

LRWG · 12/01/2007 08:29

Jenwa is right - it is wierd reading messages from people close to home. I guess you just don't think about where people are from in RL when you're on MN. I'm just up the road from you all, in Bromsgrove.

Littlefish · 12/01/2007 14:30

Hurrah! Found you all.

26th Jan is a possiblity, but I need to do lots of grovelling with dh because I'm out on 27th. A proper huge night out, staying away from home without dd or dh!

I'll check and let you know, because I'd really like to come.

BettySpaghetti · 12/01/2007 14:33

You've got to come!

Treat the 26th as a warm-up for your big night on the 27th . Explain to your DH that you go out so rarely that you're out of practice and need a dress-rehearsal or something!

I'm out twice that weekend too. Nights out are like buses aren't they...?

Littlefish · 12/01/2007 14:41

Do you think that excuse would work Betty?.....

BettySpaghetti · 12/01/2007 14:52

Its got to be worth a go (you can always add other incentives/bribery to sway him)

Littlefish · 12/01/2007 14:54

Grrrrrrrrrr (that's my best tiger impression!)
