Following on from the pregnancy thread, here the the Meet-Up thread.

Lets hope we can meet soon. I have a 14 month DS and rely on public transport.

Can I suggest:

Thursday 18th January p.m.

and

Friday 23rd February a.m.

Venues - well, I only know North Leeds, we have a couple of Wacky Warehouses and a Gingerbread Cottage (so I hear, ds visits but I have never made it yet!) All easily accessible from the Ring Road, not sure if anyone will be coming on public transport? It's a shame there isn't anything in central Leeds but probably the Weatherspoons in the station is not the best choice

Alternative suggestions for a venue welcome of course.

auntymandy, if Thurs p.m. is a goer, I'll need to take the afternoon off so could take your ds with mine if you like? Surely I can manage two toddlers in an enclosed space for a few hours (trib wonders if that is really true)

There is a new place in town I hear. Near crown point. But Whacky or gingerbread suits me as I am so lazy I cant be bothered to travel!! Although if Trib is offering me a lift, trouble is I have to be back for 3 for school run, which cuts afternoons short as I cant get anywhere much before 1!!

Thurday 18th afternoon is good for me. Can't make the next week as we are at Centre Parcs.

I'll be driving in from Harrogate, so north is better, however I have my trusty Leeds/Bradford A to Z and a willingness to laugh in the face of the evil inner loop.

betty, you are brave indeed. The loop scares the bejeezus out of me even after all this time.

The secret is to show it no fear. If you start to panic, you end up in Pontefract.

Can't do Thu 18th (stupidly decided to have a party for my DD's first birthday on the Saturday and I'll have loads to do) but I really hope to make the one in February so I hope everyone will still be up for it then. p.s is it possible to play party games with kids ranging from 9 months to 3 years???

I will be able to make Feb 23rd and I should have a LO to bring along by then having hopefully have got the hang of how to look after it!!!!!

Saw what must be the place by crown point when I was on the bus today, it's called cool cats and as you come into leeds on hunslet road is just before crown point ie between costco and crown point. I'd read this thread before I went out so looked especially! I am on public transport although am quite sad and like working out how to get here there and everywhere on different buses so am happy to meet anywhere.

Will look forward to meeting some other MN's in Feb

hello. i can do the friday 23rd. crown point place sounds like a good idea. quite a few of us are south leeds so maybe somewhere central is best? what's it called? anyone know? can we have a link?

no venue arranged for thursday the 18th yet, spiker. It may just be thee and me!

I am going to start 2 new threads..hope thats ok. But this one seems to be getting muddled and to be honest no where!!!
