Hi - I am in Woodlesford. There seems to be a few new ones on here from Leeds so lets hope we can all meet soon. Not sure how the organising of a date works tho!

spiker · 02/01/2007 23:31

I'm in Horsforth and have 2 DSs aged nearly 3 and 9 months. I work Tues and Weds mornings. And evenings (yes, guess what I'm supposed to be doing right now?)

bettythebuilder · 02/01/2007 23:46

I'm in Harrogate, I have a dd age 4 (last week!) and would love to meet with you all
Dd is at pre school mon to thurs mornings.

DizzyBint · 03/01/2007 10:33

hello, we're in tingley, near morley. dd is 7 months. i have a car so can get to anywhere really. is a soft play place the best option? not done a meet up before so it's all new to me!

as for dates i'm ok for any day really, just depends on times. go back to work, doing evenings, on the 22nd.

tribpot · 03/01/2007 11:28

Hello all! Living in Cookridge, one ds 18 months. I work full-time but would guess a weekday meet-up would be preferred by the majority, so will rejig things if need be.

nuttygirl · 03/01/2007 12:22

I'm up for a meet up. I'm in Morley and would rely on public transport during the week. I'm pregnant with my first and due in April.

nuttygirl · 03/01/2007 14:23

Any chance we could make it a couple of days later...think my parents might still be visiting on the 17th.

joanna4 · 03/01/2007 16:05

I work all week school hours but i think i have a training day sometime around 17th when i arent required to go in.

bettythebuilder · 03/01/2007 20:46

Friday the 19th is good for me.

DizzyBint · 03/01/2007 21:45

ok who else is ok for friday 19th?

and suggestions for where?

spiker · 03/01/2007 21:48

Weds 17th or Thurs 18th would be best for me. I can't do Friday mornings. I can do Friday PM but Mon/Weds/Thurs PMs are best for me.

But whatever we agree on somebody won't be able to make it, so no worries.

tribpot · 03/01/2007 21:49

In principle - looks good for me. Have hospital appointment in the morning so timing uncertain.

I think where is the real sticker - we have a few peeps on public transport, but central Leeds is a bit of a wash-out I think? Who is public transport: ThisTime and nuttygirl? Can we arrange around where is easy for them? (Ha - St James Hospital ladies - I am already there!)

DizzyBint · 03/01/2007 21:55

we'll see what some others say.

have any of you done a meet up before? where did you go?

tribpot · 03/01/2007 22:17

betty's done a Harrogate meet-up before, I was meant to go but work (as ever) intervened.

Did the Chapel Allerton meet ever happen last time?

I do think a soft play area is the way forward, although our pregnant ladies may wish to turn tail and run away from the general horror (It's too late girls). On the north side of Leeds we have two Wacky Warehouses, plus various options I am only dimly aware of like Gingerbread Cottage etc. (ds goes, auntymandy tells me about it afterwards). I'm sure we can find something similar on a bus route? (Not that the wackies aren't on a bus route but I think not a handy one).

tribpot - I don't think it happened.

Has anybody been to cottonbudz in rodley?? Looks nice but probably not terriby convenient for most. On my list to try out if anybody wants to join me one day.

As an alternative to the soft play option there's Kirkstall Abbey museum, which I should think is easy for most to get to. Lots of kid stuff upstairs to play with in the childhood gallery and activity area and babies can crawl around in the Old Woman's Shoe. There's some equipment to play on outside if it's nice weather (unlikely i know). The victorian streets downstairs are interesting for adults and pre-schoolers+.

tribpot · 03/01/2007 23:10

Blimey - there's an old woman's shoe in Kirkstall Abbey? I swear it has been 12 years since I was there, I didn't look but don't think it was there then Kirkstall works for me and very happy to offer a lift to anyone who needs it.
