Let's Go Clubbing in London!

As a result of Saturday, I realise I really miss going dancing. DH will go with me if I want, but I'd rather go with someone who wants to go!

I'm in East London, tempted by a club in Bethnal Green out of laziness, but I can travel to wherever. I don't want to get really really drunk, I just want to dance a lot. (Not salsa! Rock/pop/hip-hop/indie/disco/garage/whatever)

Anyone up for it?

Well if you won't salsa, you don't deserve to go out!

NotQuiteCockney · 20/11/2006 16:44

:-P

I will ask on a local mailing list, I think - better chance of responses ...

You do that babe. I'm gonna issue a clubbing blacklist with you at the head!

NotQuiteCockney · 20/11/2006 20:34

I plan to go as a dress-undoing scarf-stealing maniac ... oh, no, wait, no club wants those ...

Can't think what you mean!

NotQuiteCockney · 21/11/2006 11:02

I'm not sure an amnesiac dress-undoing scarf-stealing maniac is any great improvement, tbh.

Actually - the dancing was rather fab....and I dont usually enjoy it, and it usually leaves me in utter agony the next day. Not so this time, although I was somewhat restrained...unlike some, eh marsy?

Heathcliffscathy · 22/11/2006 00:10

YES!!!!!

PLEASE!!!!

Can we?

NotQuiteCockney · 22/11/2006 09:42

Absolutely!

What part of London are you in, sophable? And what sort of music are you after? I've been trolling the clubbing sites etc, trying to find places that sound reasonably appropriate ...

OP posts:
Heathcliffscathy · 22/11/2006 10:15

hiphop, breakbeat, electronica, electro (are they the same thing?), indie, disco, punk, rnb, 60s, 70s, 80s, banghra

in short anything at all except House and Trance.

now where are nappiesgalore and crunchie and norash?

Heathcliffscathy · 22/11/2006 10:16

i'm in wandsworth, willing to travel.

MrsRecycle · 22/11/2006 10:18

Ive heard HeadKandi is good - the CDs certainly are. Not sure I can do another late night after falling asleep at 1am in the bar but I'd like to try.

NotQuiteCockney · 22/11/2006 10:19

Central probably the easiest for all of us? I'll have a dig. (Wandsworth is SW? I think?)

My plan would be (I think?) to meet in a pub at 8:30 or 9, move to a club early, get in a few hours frenzied dancing and then head home? Something like that. I don't want to be out until 3am, that's for sure ...

Oh 18 year olds - me and my sis got chatted up by one the other week! I'm defo up for hooking up with you - I'll email you. We're there from 23rd onwards.

NappiesGalore · 22/11/2006 10:41

hello? am i invited then?
i can stay at me dads (Hackney) if i have enough notice to sort out childcare.
i promise not to get so drunk i dont manage to speak to people and actually get to know them a bit and/or to remember it when i have done

prefer breakbeat, hiphop, indie, disco, rnb, 60s, 70s, 80s, banghra (never done but id give it a try)
i love dancing to drum and base too - tho i understand if no-one else fancies that sort of thing. its the only music i can actually dance pretty well to for some reason. otherwise, quite happy to leap about like an idiot to anything else - its all good!

santaslittleprettymum · 22/11/2006 10:43

i like rnb and hip hop

I'm reasonably relaxed about music, tbh, but don't want to be somewhere too shiny, would rather be somewhere a bit gay, frankly, or indie. If that makes any sense?

OP posts:
CountessDracula · 22/11/2006 10:52

I'm up for it!

I like most stuff tbh
