Hi Ixel,

Yep I'm still planning to come on Tuesday 11th!
See you then, will keep my eyes peeled in case the venue changes - you're getting quite a posse together eh??

XX Kate

Ixel · 05/05/2004 19:27

Hi Schmauskin, glad you're still around! not sure about the possee! Depends who can actually make it; all getting a bit complicated! Hope sprog is doing ok. Bring a scan photo with you!

LD · 05/05/2004 20:33

Hi everyone
I am still around but have been a bit slack on the internet! I havent booked anything yet - sorry!!but will ring Giraffe tomorrow and do a booking for 5 on the 11th at 1pm, and let them know there could be less or more, great to see we have a few more able to make it.

Posey · 05/05/2004 21:25

This Sunday is no good for me, as dh is off work and is taking the kids out and I'm going to sleep ALL DAY
I think by the law of averages that means he'll be working the next 2 so one of them would be good.
PS Saturdays are no good for me as its the only regular day that we all get to spend together (no work or school)
Maybe next week we should start a new weekend meet-up thread.

Ixel · 06/05/2004 10:34

Well done LD. Someone to take the reins, with a bit of organisational capacity! Looking forward to Tuesday. xxx
Posey... Sun 30th looks most likely then? A bit far ahead to make promises though!

Hello! I'd like to join you all on the 30th if poss - have dd of 3 and ds of 10 months - and live in Crouch End. Where were you planning to meet? Jxx

Ixel · 10/05/2004 13:20

Excellent... I'm still ok for 30th. Who else? Mabe we should see who's coming, and then pick a place thats best for the majority. Everyone seems to live in Crouch End! Weegie.. are you Slingback's alter ego, or was that someone else?

OP posts:
Jzee · 10/05/2004 13:26

Ragtaggle: I live near you, ho old is your baby?

Schmauskin · 10/05/2004 18:30

Hi Ixel and L.D is Giraffe where we met before?
Sorry to be dim!!

K

Ixel · 10/05/2004 20:04

Schmauskin... nope! Carry on past there to the big roundabout with the bus driver's tea room in the middle. Gifaffe is on the far side, close to Boots. You'll see tables outside etc. LD has booked tables by the window, but I'm not sure if that'll be in her name or as mumsnet!! See you at 1pm.

OP posts:
Schmauskin · 10/05/2004 20:08

Thanks, see you tomorrow
X

ragtaggle · 10/05/2004 21:37

Am coming - dd is 7 months old. Whose name is the table booked in?

LD · 11/05/2004 09:11

Hi hope this isnt too late!! But i booked the table under Lauren (I dont think it was LD) so will aim to be there nice and early anyway.
see you all later today

laurenxx

Capie · 11/05/2004 21:58

So how did the meet go?

Is there still one being organised for the 30th?

Ixel · 11/05/2004 22:06

Hi capie! Really nice couple of hours... ds is a bit less sensitive now, so only cried once. There were four of us in the end, plus little hangers on. Yep, I'm still ok for 30th if you want to do something.

Capie · 12/05/2004 21:35

Hi Ixel

Wel we just booked to go away for the bank holiday weekend (30th!) So after all that I'm flunking out SORRY

I will look for the next thread for a weekend north london meet

Ixel · 13/05/2004 12:15

Ho hum... another bank hol weekend with just me and ds...!!! I feel a trip to the fair coming on.

OP posts:
Weegie · 16/05/2004 22:01

Hi Ixel. Weegie and Slingback are the same - depending if I'm at work or at home! I'm still up for the 30th - should we make it Crouch End?

Ixel · 17/05/2004 19:03

Fine by me, aslong as you pick somewhere incredibly easy to find! Haven't been there for years!

OP posts:
Weegie · 21/05/2004 16:50

Hi Ixel

Sorry about that - I'm not following the thread. Thought you were Crouch End based - where would be good for you?

Ixel · 21/05/2004 20:22

Crouch End is fine; no time at all on the bus! I'm in Muswell Hill, verging on Barnet!

OP posts:
alamel · 23/05/2004 22:20

Would love to join a meet up in Muswell Hill. 30 May is actually ds first birthday so will be away but would love to meet up next time. I live in East Finchley by the way.

Ixel · 23/05/2004 22:40

Hi alamel... we haven't started planning the next meet yet, but it'd be great to see you! The threads are all getting a bit mixed now, I know, so I'll try to stick to just this one! How are you fixed for days and times... do you work? do you have older kids to work school times round etc? I'm pretty flexible, except not Monday mornings (sign lang) or friday afternoons (swimming).I'm usually gadding about the Muswell Hill area somewhere.

OP posts:
alamel · 23/05/2004 22:47

Ixel

I've taken time out of work so I'm basically free. ds is my first child and is 11 months. Afternoons are best for me - somehow ds and I seem to stretch breakfast/elevenses/lunch out to cover all morning!! However, I could pretty much make anytime since we're quite flexible. Fancy a coffee next week? Pickles cafe (next to Fagin's toys) seems to be quite buggy/child friendly but happy to meet whereever.

Ixel · 24/05/2004 12:06

Yep, afternoons are good for us. Ds has a nap, but if he's tired enough he'll do it anywhere, so he'll be ok in the buggy! I have my Mum coming next Friday, but any other day is ok so far. We have loose plans to go to the city farm, as ds has discovered he likes sheep (!), but no fixed day. Never been to Pickles, but sounds like a good option to me, as i walk past it en route to the gym and wonder why we've never tried it yet!! Whats the best day for you?
