I'm quite new and would like to meet other local MN's but can't make any xmas dates. Anyone local interested in a meetup in Jan? I live in Sutton.

OP posts:
BlimeyoReilly · 17/01/2007 17:43

I can do any of those dates but would also prefer not to do the 6 th as dd has her jabs that afternoon - don't think it would be fair to leave someone else to the ubhappy girly after that!

13th or 20th would work best as dh is off duty.

I vote for parson i luv a carvery!

WigWamBam · 17/01/2007 17:44

SmileysPeople ... I live in Boldmere as well! Which bit are you in?

SmileysPeople · 17/01/2007 18:21

Really!?
I'm on one of the roads off Jockey road towards the Horse and Jockey end.
Where are you?
Do you have children at one of the schools in the area?
I'm quite excited to discover this! I lead a dull life.......

SmileysPeople · 17/01/2007 18:22

Will get back with a date once kids in bed.

WigWamBam · 17/01/2007 18:51

My life is inordinately dull as well

We're off Boldmere Road, not far from Wylde Green station so within spitting distance of you ... small world, isn't it! Dd goes to the local primary, she's in Year 1 ... you're going to tell me now that I've been standing next to you in the playground, aren't you

SmileysPeople · 17/01/2007 19:33

No you/we are safe. My DS goes to the Catholic school and is in Yr2.

Are you coming to this proposed meet up. Or don't you do meet ups?

Ronniebaby · 17/01/2007 21:10

Yeh WWB, you aint been on a meet up in ages, it would be lovely to see you again, hope you are well.

SmileysPeople · 17/01/2007 21:23

Ok, a Thursday in Feb, I could do 8th, 15th or 22nd.
I am a veggie so carvery not ideal, unless other options also available.
are we nearing a decision?

WigWamBam · 17/01/2007 22:19

Am also a veggie, SP - the Parson and Clerk don't have much of a choice for the non-meat eaters. You can have a starter with your veg or you can just have your veg ... either way there's not much choice.

If your ds is at the Catholic school in Boldmere, we are probably within spitting distance of each other on a school morning! I walk down into Boldmere most mornings ... we've probably walked past each other down there. Maybe we should meet up for a coffee at the Vesey or somewhere one of these days.

I haven't been on a meet-up in ages, would love to come but I can't do Thursdays in February as I'm doing a play and we rehearse on Thursdays. Perhaps we can set something up for another time.

Ronniebaby · 18/01/2007 09:53

Oops sorry, you are right there is only 1 option for veggie.

"Today's vegetarian choice
Ask for today's vegetarian choice and help yourself to as many roasted and steamed vegetables, Yorkshire puds and sauces as you like. We even serve a great vegetarian gravy."

Just looked at the Pizza Express menu MENU

And there is loads for everyone, lots of (v) for veggie, and plenty for others. OOh and a great choice of puds yum yum.

So do we all fancy Pizza Express?? YES / NO

Then what day, Tue or Thurs, altho I think it was favouring the Thurs. Thurs 8th??

Or Tues 13th???

Lets have your choice. Then I can book at table.

mummyhill · 18/01/2007 11:06

Pizza express will be great. Any Tues or Thurs as long as we can get nanny to babysit. BoR I do believe that it is my turn to drive if you want me to pick you up shout, it just means you will be sandwiched between the minihills from yours to mums then we can evict all three kids unless you dh is off and then I will drop kids before collecting you.

WinniethePooh · 18/01/2007 11:25

Pizza Express sounds good to me.

Just tell me where and when and I will get ibnlaws to babysit if DD is not home in time.

LunarSea · 18/01/2007 11:29

I might be able to join you if you do the 8th, as ds and dh will be away on holiday that week, so by the Thursday I'll probably be desperate to talk to someone/anyone!

WinniethePooh · 18/01/2007 11:30

JUst reread my post.

Should have said will get inlaws to babysit if DP not home

Whimsy · 18/01/2007 11:33

Is it pizza express in Sutton? I might come as well

mummyhill · 18/01/2007 13:06

Good grief let me know if you want a lift whimsy I am sure I squidge you and BoR in if I take a car seat out.

Whimsy · 18/01/2007 14:43

That would be wonderful MH, thank you

SmileysPeople · 18/01/2007 15:09

I can do the 8th and pizza express is good for me.

SmileysPeople · 18/01/2007 16:57

Yes we should try to meet up for coffee WWB...Thirsday or Friday mornings are the only ones I could do. Do you work ATM?

mummyhill · 18/01/2007 20:04

WWB we still need to get together for a coffee and catch up too.

Ronniebaby · 18/01/2007 20:35

Yes Whimsey it is the one in Sutton. Hope you can come, its been ages.

I think we should do the 8th Feb as the week after is Half term so this will be our calm before the storm

Anyone fancy meeting up during the Half term??? At the moment I can only guarantee Thursdays as its my day off.

Dont mind doing a Wacky or Park (weather permitting), unless we can find somewhere big enough for us all???

I'll start a new thread for that.
