ladies, thanks very much everyone for the hugs and best wishes and offers to chat. AND babysitting!!!

wow, i'm a bit overwhelmed. i do post a bit on other threads on mn about depressed/absent partners etc and it is helpful.

i really hope he can come home soon as all i really want is our family together. but that doesn't look likely for a while and there's a big part of me that can't keep doing this idefinately. i feel i have to make a decision about my future...........

anyway, on a lighter note: dentists! anyone know a good one around st margarets/isleworth? i just signed up to a good dental plan thru work and want to get my crowns looked at. am also the BIGGEST SCAREDY CAT of all when it comes to going!

actually, the very best dentist I ever had was in Sydney so i now think all aussie dentists are FAB!

caught up with SJ's diary earlier and nearly blubbed in the office

pudding77 · 20/11/2006 22:02

Not much happening, thought I'd have a quick chat before heading off to bed.

How's the studying going?

sfxmum · 20/11/2006 22:16

its about identity and it is giving me an identity crisis
wednesday night i am going out with my sisters to the Royal Albert Hall, that should be nice.

how goes the attachmnt? does ds cry if you leave the room and follows you to the toilet? mine did she used to drive me a tad potty at times

Paddlechick666 · 20/11/2006 23:18

check out sporty mama and bubba

MrsBojangles · 21/11/2006 06:42

very impressive. I might just get a bike and ride off into the horizon, without kids!

Quokka I so hope that sleep potion your friend is concocting for me will work. Got VERY close to hurting ds last night in the 'cuddle very tightly in despair' kinda way and giving good impersonation of raving mad loonie mum shouting toddler in middle of the night to go the f back to sleep... oh and then he socked me one on the side where I hd the tooth extracted... he was lucky reflex didn't land him on the floor or the other side of the room! ARGH

pudding77 · 21/11/2006 07:49

Hi sfx, sorry I abandoned you last night - I was reading and fell asleep

He seems to be back to normal now - I think it was just when we were at the ILs and we left the room. On the Sun morning he was better but if I left he would come and find me. but at home he's absolutely fine. We did wonder if ILs came here to look after him if he would be ok?

What are you going to see at the RAH?

pudding77 · 21/11/2006 07:51

Hi paddle, just seen your picture, looks like both of you are having fun! Where did you get your bike seat for dd from? We'd like to get one for ds.

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 21/11/2006 08:18

Nice pic. I'm a big wuss when it comes to biking, bad childhood memories etc etc so I'm very impressed.

Paddlechick666 · 21/11/2006 08:19

morning pud, forgot to say thanks for hte Lost offer. will take you up on it if i can't find it being repeated somewhere!

erm, bike seat is a Hamax Sleepy - they recline - they're quite expensive new but I got it off ebay for about 28 quid which was less than half price.

dd loved it altho she wasn't keen on the wind and sun in her eyes, little princess LOL.

harktheheraldfoxessing · 21/11/2006 08:44

PC - you healthy young thing you. Looks like great fun.

Mine still follow me round the house, even the six year old. DS was in hysterics the other day, pointing and laughing "ha, ha, Mummy - I can see your willy!"

I was trying to have a shower at the time.

MrsB - how are you feeling this morning (or shouldn't I ask?)

sfxmum · 21/11/2006 08:44

morning

paddle - great pic you both look fantastic!

pudding - no problem, i soldered on through study with occasional click on active convos like i usually do.
we are going to see a portuguese singer. i love the RAH but its been ages since i went used to go proms on another life.

mrsB - hope the tooth gets better, i think my major problem with dentists is lack of trust, i am not afraid at all and really need one actually but would rather go through personal recommendation, had an awful experience once.
rub that little one, it is so tiring when they persist on waking up over and over again

hope everyone else OK

harktheheraldfoxessing · 21/11/2006 08:46

sfx/puds - shall we do the bookswap on 2 December then, at mine, 11am?

If so, I'll sort out a list of what I can offer

pudding77 · 21/11/2006 08:52

foxie - that sounds great. I'll sort out a list also.

Paddlechick666 · 21/11/2006 08:52

ha ha ha @ healthy young thing! i'm not far behind you Foxie and i cleverly angled myself to hide post baby jelly belly!

big belly laugh @ Foxie's ds tho LOL!

can i join in the book swap too? purty please?

mrsb, really hope you're not feeling too jaded today. at least the tooth is gone and hopefully the magic sleep oil is on it's way soon.

dd went from 8pm till 5:30am this morning - i had to go check on her to make sure she was ok! which of course woke her doh!

sfxmum · 21/11/2006 08:54

thats great foxie, what would people be interested in?

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 21/11/2006 08:55

Foxie,

I'm available on the 2 Dec too. You must have missed my response. That's okay. It took me ages to find it again myself. I thought I might have dreamed about responding. Not that I dream about MN, that would be too sad.

sfxmum · 21/11/2006 08:58

so foxie are you not teaching the proper names of girly bits then?LOL

shall we bring cakes and cookies foxie?

harktheheraldfoxessing · 21/11/2006 09:02

PC - yes please do join us , that will be fab:

OK Gals I have two requests:

No 1 - Could you sort some books you really enjoyed reading and make a list to post? Also do a "wish list" of the type of think you'd like to borrow. We're only lending so we'll get them back again

(We can do some Sci-Fi too?)

No 2 - we need to make a decision about the Christmas Knees Up. Are we going ahead on 1 December or not? Have more or less decided to scrap Brula (too dear) but need another venue pronto (cheap).

...Please look on the appropriate thread before MrsD catches me ...

Will take my bossy hat off now

harktheheraldfoxessing · 21/11/2006 09:05

sfx - that's kind, errr yes please!

pudding77 · 21/11/2006 09:11

Ok, I'll bring a cake!

harktheheraldfoxessing · 21/11/2006 09:16

Fabbooo
