Quokka,

I've emailed you. I haven't been contact with your friend yet. I will when I get a minute.

2quokkasandaparetree · 20/11/2006 14:26

mellow did you get my email?

MrsBojangles · 20/11/2006 14:26

quokka yes had a quick chat with her and she said she'd call me back with pricing. Had told her not to call me back between 12-15 due to dentist Can't wait to get that stuff, ds was wide awake and humming 'twinkle twinkle little star' for 3 hours starting 0100 last night!

2quokkasandaparetree · 20/11/2006 14:28

sorry about the dentist - I hate them

MrsBojangles · 20/11/2006 14:29

I like my dentist just not the things he does to me . He's the best dentist I've had so far though so sticking with him even though he's moving away from the current surgery.

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 20/11/2006 14:29

quokka,

I got an email from you on friday. Is that the one youre referring to?

2quokkasandaparetree · 20/11/2006 14:29

thats the one mellow, you and the fam feeling better?

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 20/11/2006 14:30

Does anyone know a good reasonably-priced hygenist? The one I go to in Brentford is not so great and the one our friends go to in Chiswick is really expensive.

MrsBojangles · 20/11/2006 14:32

mine is great but pricey I'm afraid somewhere around £40+. She's every so patient though because I'm very sensitive and a whooz when it comes to anything with teeth

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 20/11/2006 14:32

quokka,

We've recovered from the cold, thanks. I actually meant I responded to your email. I must learn to preview before I post.

ComeOVeneer · 20/11/2006 14:33

Quokka I'm a dentist .

MrsBojangles · 20/11/2006 14:35

CoV I'm sure quokka didn't mean it personal
took me ages to find a dentist I sort of like going to

2quokkasandaparetree · 20/11/2006 14:47

Oops! Cov if I told you the experiences I've had - which are shocking, (I'll spare you all the gory details) then you would totally understand. Anyway these were aussie dentists

2quokkasandaparetree · 20/11/2006 14:50

Anyway I don't see you as a dentist, I see you as a mummy

ComeOVeneer · 20/11/2006 14:52

Actually I guess strictly speaking I am currently a SAHM rather than a dentist anyway. Right the grey clouds have gathered overhead and it is starting to rain. That can mean only one thing, school run time. Catch you all later.

trying2bgood · 20/11/2006 14:59

Mello mellow - there is one near me but I think you have to be a member of the practice to get access.

Are any of you going to cbeebies xmas and does anyone know whether there are any tickets left?

pudding77 · 20/11/2006 15:06

Mellow - which dentist do you go to? We go to the Butts dental surgery which is pretty good. My dh has been to the hygienist there and said she was good. I think they're still taking NHS patients as well.

Uwilalalalalala · 20/11/2006 15:06

Quokka, your not bashing dentist to our lovely newcomer (who happens to be a dentist), are you???? I swear, you can take the girl out of Oz, but you can't take Oz out of the girl! You are such a bird brain sometimes.

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 20/11/2006 15:38

pud,
Errr, I go to the Butts surgery. I think I saw the same hygenist. I'm probably a lot fussier than your dh.

t2bg,
How much does ur hygenist charge?

pudding77 · 20/11/2006 16:01

Believe me, when it comes to his teeth, dh is very fussy. We had to try three different dentists before settling on these ones .

2quokkasandaparetree · 20/11/2006 16:18

t2bgood I just got tickets about 20 min ago. Have been trying to get people together for ages and gave up. We're going to the 10:45 session, and the seats aren't too bad. I got a family ticket for £57, but you can spend up £87!

Uwila you hit the nail on the head but can I remind you that you asked the waiter "what are french beans"

ComeOVeneer · 20/11/2006 16:32

Dh and I were talking on Sunday about going to the cbeebie's xmas thing but he doesn't want to get to it for 10.45 and we are off to my parents later in the day.

Don't worry Quokka I wasn't taking it at all personally, unsurprisingly you aren't the first person I have heard saying they hate dentists and I'm sure you won't be the last.

2Cute · 20/11/2006 17:14

Thanks for the update all.

New York was fab. I've been a few times before on business & with DH but never as a family thing so I saw things differently.I would definately recommend going with the little 'uns as there is loads for them to do there. I'm quite the little expert now

Paddle - I'm so sorry about your DH. Cat or ring me if you want a chat. We could've met up this week if you were free at any point but I'd only be snezzing and coughing so that'd be a bad idea!

MrsB - Well done for going to the dentist. I'm such a chicken that I've been putting up with a nasty tooth ache for the past 2 weeks.

I really wanted to take DS to the Cbeebies show but were skint after our holiday.

2Cute · 20/11/2006 17:17

Ignore my bad punctuation and spelling

MrsBojangles · 20/11/2006 18:04

2cute nothing brave about me going to the dentist... after 2 months of niggling pain I gave in

Wanted to go to cbeebies but sort of got sidetracked trying to sort out dd's b'day party for 22/12. Gotta have a chat with dh to see whether he still wants to go.
