Lmccrean, I don't think we are allowed balloons anymore & Perhaps a lot of us in the town centre [with kids] may be too much of a handling? But if a few want to break off & do that, I don't see any problem. But best to check you wouldn't need a licence or anything. I just thought, the walk & a nice picnic & a chance to chat with other mums without the hustle & bustle of shopping with loads of kids would be nice

So much for my early night, starfairy, lol. Have just lit the fire and poured a glass of wine and getting ready to settle down to watch Shameless (can't miss it now I know it's last in series and loads happening ). Ohh and have just 'forced' packet of minstrels down my throat as well as I'm rejoining weightwatchers in the morning, so back to the healthy eating until I can ditch a few lbs.

Have been naughty all week, will prob get kicked out of ww tomorrow. Got my first silver seven last week.

Yeah, wildlife thing makes sense...kids will love just playing with them anyway (dd refuses to give up the balloons we blew up on her birthday at start of december!)

morning Ni mums. missed all your posts last night. went to bed at 8 (how exciting is my life!) I had put my name down on the actual mile for maude website as opposed to anything on mn so count me in on any plans. diddo will also recruit a few friends if poss. Are we raising money or is it just a rememberance walk. Agree with fff2 that somewhere quiet/outdoors and picnic sounds good. esp if a nice day. Have a good day all. will check in later

pandi52...asked at playgroup today for somewhere you could go on tuesday and noone knew of anywhere but apparently rankins new place in bangor is for parents and toddlers. it's 10-12 every morning and has a proper creche/jungle gym that the kids go into while you can have a coffee/talk to friends etc
hoping to check it out myself in the next week or so.
Other than that I'm sure you've already asked but most of the playgroups in holywood are connected to the churches for some reason so maybe you could give a few of them a ring near you and check. Jo jingles is on a friday in COI in Holywood if it's not too far

hi starfairy. Am squeezing in a few minutes on mn while dh puts ds to bed but can hear the screams through the monitor so not the most relaxed I've ever been! Trying not to go in and take over as Dh finds this really annoying and undermining (but it's quicker when i do it!)How are things in your world?

Some eejit ran up my arse this evening when I was waiting to go up my lane Thankfully no-one was hurt, just car damaged, but my dd [5] is all shaken up. She kept wakening after she was asleep & asking me if anyone drive into my car when I was out later on.. It's awful to see them scared isn't it.

River Island jeans...now they are lush!! Unfortunately, their size 14 is so much like a 10 They go as far as my thighs & that's about it!!!

I can buy soda farls but not home bakery ones. They are convinced if you use soda it makes it soda bread. Poor misguided souls, I know I should get a griddle. My dh is in Dungannon today, isn't he lucky!

Much damage to car?

Yeah, it'll need a whole new back bumper, but the guys car was worse off, as when he saw he was headed my way he sorta swerved to avoid hitting me & ended up in the ditch. Dh had to pull him out with the tractor. But he seems a decent enough fella so he should come through OK.
