I do hope that there is someone out there from NI (Co Down specifically) that could meet up. Our Mums and Tots are great, but I would like to organise something a bit different!!!

What is "Mile for Maude"

laloop · 08/02/2007 21:44

When is it FFF2? I would be willing to do it.

fireflyfairy2 · 08/02/2007 21:46

I'll go & find out.. brb

fireflyfairy2 · 08/02/2007 21:49

read here starfairy

It's on May 12th It would be nice if we could all do the walk, just in memory of a lovely little lady

laloop · 08/02/2007 21:54

Definitelt think we should get a Northern Ireland group together, shall we sign up to organise? any thoughts about where?
Just a suggestion, Stormont hill is exactly one mile long (although it is uphill, as I well found out when I had to run up it last year as part of the breast cancer charity run)

starfairy · 08/02/2007 21:54

Yeah I would do it. R we gonna take Dc with us?

multitasker · 08/02/2007 21:58

Hey all, just dropping by - gotta go do lunches, but I just read the end of this thread and think the mile walk would be a lovely thing to do and a nice way for us all to get together. I'll pick this up tomorrow afternoon so maybe we could get some thoughts on it from others in the mean time. Night.

fireflyfairy2 · 08/02/2007 22:00

It might be nice for the kids

Is there anywhere near there laloop for a picnic with the kids? My dd is 5 & ds is 2, & the walk is in aid of Maude, who was just slightly younger than my ds.

Yes! Let's do it!! Pink balloons, pink lemonade....the works!!

laloop · 08/02/2007 22:02

There's a really nice children's park in the grounds of Stormont, loads of things for lo's to do there plus picnic tables as well.

starfairy · 08/02/2007 22:02

So how we gonna start organizing this guys?

laloop · 08/02/2007 22:06

Need to put on names on the website mentioned by littlelapin, FFF2 do you know how?

fireflyfairy2 · 08/02/2007 22:09

I don't know how, but will certainly go & have a look

I'm pleased we all want to do this

What age are your kids ladies?

laloop · 08/02/2007 22:10

I have a 7, 6 and a 2 year old

starfairy · 08/02/2007 22:14

Yeah, just been looking at the reg form. Who's gonna be the actual organizer?

laloop · 08/02/2007 22:16

I'll help organise definitely

starfairy · 08/02/2007 22:16

My Dd is 3.

fireflyfairy2 · 08/02/2007 22:16

Have just left a message for littlelapin to add NI to her site

laloop · 08/02/2007 22:17

Is it just one person Starfairy for the registration or can a few of us help organise?

laloop · 08/02/2007 22:17

Great FFF2!

fireflyfairy2 · 08/02/2007 22:18

I don't mind either being the organiser, or helping you starfairy

Sure we can all help out

fireflyfairy2 · 08/02/2007 22:19

I think just one persons name goes down as organiser, but really we all do a bit

We'll all help out.

wonder should we start a new thread asking for all NI mums who want to do it.... wonder how many of us are around at the minute.

laloop · 08/02/2007 22:20

Do you want to be the named one FFF2, and we'll help you with everything

fireflyfairy2 · 08/02/2007 22:22

I don't mind. If neither of you want to do it I don't mind... or if Starfairy wants to be the named one?? Regardless, we'll all pitch in, it'll be good fun.

starfairy · 08/02/2007 22:22

Dunno tbh, it was more an enquires form, they would e-mail you all the info you needed.

Did'nt see Belfast on it though.

starfairy · 08/02/2007 22:28

FFF2, think since you suggested it you should be the named one.

(not passing the buck ifkwim)

We'll all help in every way.
