OK I said I will book the venue ruby lo which I am in the process of doing. They have a roped off area that is fine for 80, if there is more of us, we can link areas togther. I will book it for 8pm Saturday 18th November.
There is no deposit, however we could pre-order some lovely foody bits if we want??? If people would like me to do this I will.
What I would suggest to the bar would be £10 a head for loads of food, nice canapes, snack etc, to come out between 8pm and 9pm. If we do this pre-order of food I am sure they will want a deposit. If we don't pre-order food people are totally free to order and pay for exactly what food and drinks they like and pay for it separatly. WE WILL NOT RUN ANY SORT OF TAB ON THE NIGHT (EXCEPT IF YOU RUN A PERSONAL ONE AT THE BAR!!!)
BTW I AM NOT IN CHARGE HERE, It is a MN effort, I know Custy and others will all be rallying troops. Last year was a lot of work and was fab, this year we are going for the easy option. You all make your way to the bar (Behind Selfridges) you all choose your drinks, you all pay for them, you talk to whoever, you drink and eat whatever and the only rule is you MUST dance on tables
For those who want ideas of hotels, one I have stayed in which is cheap - a bit grotty, but V V central is The Regent Palace Hotel. \link{http://www.theregentpalacehotel.co.ukRegent Palace Hotel} It costs about £50 a double and is about 15 mins walk from the bar. It can be noisy at 5am when the empty the dustbins! But it has clean sheets, plastic showever/bathroom cubicles in the corners of rooms, but does the job. I am sure there are loads more nicer places out there, possibly towards paddington, but search the net.
