Am looking at travelstay site, but am being dense... what area should I be looking in?

Have looked at the regents hotel linked earlier, but its a 2 night minimum booking?

crunchie · 15/08/2006 00:32

tamba, look on travelstay at regent palace and it would be ok. I also did a search on travelstay for any with availability and at what cost. Loads of stuff came up. Paddington area would be cheapo - loadso f hotels and hostels (you ae young enough for these!!) Oxford st/bloomsbury/marble arch all good and not too far quick cab or 15 - 20 min walk.

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 15/08/2006 00:34

is this anywhere near?

or any of these?

Tortington · 15/08/2006 00:35

crunchie - anything which involved money - is complicated - it doesn't sound it but it is. how are you going to put a deposit on it? supposing 30 mumsnetter drop out ( i assure you absolutley they WILL) who forks out for rest of deposit - let them eat before they come or order when they get there.

dont worry about the space being big enough until we reach 120 mumsnetters

1st one about 10 mins max in a cab or 3 - 4 stops tube and a short walk. I would cab it, I wouldn't want to walk in hat area late at night. (Not that dogy, but then don't walk anywhere in london late at night on my own!!)

Bayswater is a good area resonably close (again 10 mins max, if not 5 or 6 mins) in a cab. Loads there looking at the list. Earls court/vicoria/kensignton are no go too far.

crunchie · 15/08/2006 00:43

That's what I think too custy, I just thought I would ask, but yep you are right, I am not worrying about size either as if there are 120 MN, fantatsic, we'll all be getting there before teh rush. Anyway there are loads of cheap eating places nearby, so that's OK.
